Official name?

[edit]
Resolved
 – Article name fixed.

Shouldn't this be Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles? IGN Wii uses this title, as do other major gaming sources. What indication is there that there's no 'The' in the title? MahangaTalk 23:24, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wesker's back!
I'm looking at IGN right now and I see 'The' in it as well. But when I first made the article I could have sworn there was no 'The'. So yeh, if anyone knows how to change the articles name they can go right ahead.Zabbethx (talk) 14:51, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I just did it. Wasn't as hard as I thought.Zabbethx (talk) 14:53, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Some pics

[edit]
Unresolved
 – Copyvio pics removed; article needs independently-made screen shot(2).

IGN just posted some of the first pics.

So who ever can get rid of the watermarks should put them in the article.Zabbethx (talk) 20:10, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That could be a copyright violation. Make your own screenshots. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ʕ(Õلō Contribs. 16:14, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reliability

[edit]

Is citation 2 a reliable source? It's being cited for the release date, so it'd be nice to check out.--Koji 21:00, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it is, it's a fansite AFAIK. Geoff B (talk) 21:38, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

T-Shirt

[edit]

I pre-ordered the game from Game Stop and picked it up today. Anyway, it came with a shirt as a bonus item and 1) should we mention that in the article and 2) if I have a chance would y'all like me to take and upload a photograph or instead is there one online we could use as fair use (I would not claim any photographing talents of note). You can see it discussed here and here, and yes, I already "got" my parents with it... Best, --A NobodyMy talk 00:38, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It should be mentioned, probably, as long as it doesn't imply that all copies come with a shirt (unless they do). — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ʕ(Õلō Contribs. 16:14, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Canon/Non-canon

[edit]
Resolved
 – Unsourced and unreliably sourced claims about canonicity are original research and will be deleted. Fansites are not reliable sources.

I notice there's a considerable number of mentions of what stories fall into RE canon and what don't but all those mentions don't have anything citing where such an official canon might exist, much less where someone has written anything detailing whether events in this game are considered to be part of it or not. --99.186.111.95 (talk) 23:18, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorted. Geoff B (talk) 23:28, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Canon and NonCanon statements shall be removed unless sourced. DragonZero (talk · contribs) 23:47, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Jargon

[edit]

Few things:

  1. The acronym "BOW" is never defined.
  2. I assume an "evade move" refers to a button that makes the character dodge left or right on the screen.

Most people who would actually want information from an encyclopedia article about a game aren't going to be fans, so they aren't going to know this stuff already. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamescape777 (talkcontribs) 14:48, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
