Evelyn Lanto
[edit]Is there any proof, besides the fact that they sound similar, that Evelyn Lanto and Rebecca Soler are the same person? Because I'm certain that they aren't - both Evelyn Lanto and Rebecca Soler have been credited for work in the same series of Pokémon (Advanced Battle AND the Diamond & Pearl series). There's also the fact that, if she were a union actress working in a non-union show, she would not go back and forth with the name she's credited under. I have never heard of an actor going back and forth with pseudonyms. They usually pick one and that's it 173.15.103.65 (talk) 00:10, 17 August 2010 (UTC) Soler and Lanto are different person. Lanto is the alias of Carrie Keranen. And Misty is voice it by Keranen. Rebecca doing Hart.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 14:09, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
Jessica Paquet is Rebecca Soler
[edit]Hi, everyone have a solid proof that Rebecca doing Stella in the newst winx club? Pokemon wiki's say it that Soler the alias Paquet use it in season 16 of pokemon. And I have found it on a blog:http://www.unadinoi-winx.com/the-english-voice-cast-of-season-seven/. Or everyone can ask her it of she is Stella? SHe don't answer my tweets.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 14:14, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
- If she hasn't acknowledged it, then you can't keep putting that Stella credit in there. That blog is not a reliable source. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:00, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah maybe. But that blog know it more from wixn and actors then wikipedia.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:10, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
- It does more original research but cannot be used as anyone can go in and edit the information, or listen to the voice samples and assume characters are done by the same voice. See WP:USERG. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:28, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

Hi, the reason that she not mention it het rol Stella it is that her resume is old, and not from this time.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 10:45, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
Birthdate and age
[edit]I was looking through the references and couldn't find even an approximation to her age or birth year. We can use an estimate per WP:BLPPRIVACY, if we can support it in some way but I still can't even get close for an estimate. A stated age in a dated publication would work or some estimate based on age related activities such as graduation or school attendance. So far nothing. Based on lack of info it appears Soler doesn't want this information about herself revealed. Geraldo Perez (talk) 13:26, 18 June 2017 (UTC)

Revisiting Jessica Paquet as alias for Soler
[edit]Just to clarify why Soler and Paquet are considered to be the same person, in case the infobox did not explain it well enough:
- Rebecca Soler's resume [1] shows she voiced Kari and Hart in Yu-Gi-Oh.
- 2016 tweet by Soler Rebecca Soler [@rsolervo] (November 29, 2014). "@Ice8859 I am the voices of Kari & Hart. Thanks for reaching out!! Can't talk about episodes sadly. Under strict contract" (Tweet). Retrieved January 8, 2016 – via Twitter.
- Yu-Gi-Oh official website lists Jessica Paquet as voice of Kari http://www.yugioh.com/characters/kari-tsukumo?page=2 "VOICE ACTOR (ENGLISH): Jessica Paquet" and Hart http://www.yugioh.com/characters/hart-tenjo "VOICE ACTOR (ENGLISH): Jessica Paquet"
Now, if Soler wants to remove her association to Paquet, she can make a request following the instructions on WP:BIOSELF. She can post {{help me}}
on her user page and ask that it be removed or better yet, send an email which can be confirmed to her actual person, and then it can be taken down. The Yu-Gi-Oh entries can then be taken down as well, but I'm waiting for that action from staff. I've commented out the entries in the meantime. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:17, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
- I provided the OTRS ticket # however this was a contested issue that has NO reliable sources whatsoever and never should have been reinstated on a BLP. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 20:33, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
- Also a tweet of her confirming she voiced characters is not confirmation of her confirming she is this other person and at no point does she ever indicate such. This was an issue where we allowed crappy sources for several years to sit here, several places took that information as gospel and went with it. The original sourcing was to a fan blog/other wiki and the only other time this is claimed is on iMDb. The Yugioh listings have only this Jessica person and do not conclusively connect the two. So if you're going to claim something as an alias, there better be some clear, concise and direct evidence of the person identifying this. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 20:35, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
- Are you saying the Yu-Gi-Oh website is a fan wiki? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:37, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks. VRTS ticket # 12574311 was submitted, so yes, it can now be taken down. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:40, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
- No i'm saying there is no evidence that listing another person as a voice actor means that they are the same as the subject in question. Secondly, if she does not identify by this and there are no actual RS supporting it, why does it need to be here? This appears to date back to the very post on this talk page 7 years ago where an avid fan is adamant that the blog in question (that was originally utilized to add this inappropriate information) is a better authority than "anyone on Wikipedia." The *only* occurrences of this name relating back to this individual are on fansites and other non-rs websites. The Yugioh website could say that I voice whoever you're talking about but that doesn't conclusively mean that I must also be Jessica Pacquet. Unless you can find a reliable source that directly correlates the two names, I'm afraid you're mistaken. But more to my point, AngusWOOF is that you should not be restoring poorly sourced, contested content to a BLP especially given how many times you've been reverted regarding this by separate editors on this very article. It should not have taken an OTRS request if you'd looked at the history and sourcing. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 20:43, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
- How is providing the Yu-Gi-Oh website poorly sourced? How is that related to Wikia and fansites? The other source being her twitter account. If you want to discredit that, even if it's connected and linked to her official website, that's fine. But that's hardly poorly sourced fansite stuff. Can you look at the three sources I provided at the start of the section? Are those poorly sourced? We needed the OTRS to confirm she is who she said she is, so now that it's been established, then yes, remove it. In the meantime I did comment it out in case it was a hoaxed request and now with OTRS, it's gone. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:51, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
- Again, AngusWOOF please provide the link to any website either through Yugioh as you claim or a reliable source that explicitly states Paquet and Soler are the same person. Mary Sue could be voiced by two different people at different points and it is entirely possible to be a typo as there are literally no other sources other than the one you're claiming contradicts what I am saying. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 20:54, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
- At this point, the Yu-Gi-Oh credit is removed. There is no confirmation she is listed in the closing credits for the show. So, no, I will not be adding that back in. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:55, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
- So can you explain why, without any actual RS that connects Paquet and Soler you continued to re-add it? CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 20:59, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
- Those are the RS provided. If, as you said, the website got it wrong and that there are actually two different voice actors, one of which is not credited, then fine. That should have been the explanation for why it was removed. The next step is to check the show's closing credits and see if Soler's name is listed anywhere. If so, then her credit can be restored. Also if Soler doesn't want to be associated with Jessica Paquet, regardless of existence of RS articles connecting them, then the OTRS makes that official. The redirect is being CSD'ed right now. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:08, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
- This is my final comment on the subject as I really don't care for it but even if we consider yugi oh's website to be an RS, it in no way connects the two individuals and any connection others see is basically original research. 00:13, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
- Perhaps this needs RS on multiple works in which she claims the credit but is listed under a different name, and also a source confirming that only one voice actor was used for the role, which for Yu-Gi-Oh, can't really be done as it has dozens of episodes. A single entry where this happens would lead to a note in the filmography entry saying "Credited as Jessica Paquet" followed by the footnote explanation how she voiced in the show but that the official website printed Paquet's name in her stead. But if this happens over multiple shows where she claims credit for voicing in the show yet the credits clearly show another name and it's that same name, then it's "fool me once..." Then it would be more logical to assume that's an alias. If it's just that one work, I can see where it won't really stand. And while the actual actor will not admit to using an alias, eventually there are enough RS works out there that make the connection, as with Stephanie Sheh and Jennifer Sekiguchi [2] [3] AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:14, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Rebecca Soler
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Rebecca Soler's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
