Inclusion of Final Fantasy template

[edit]

Going to be incorporating the Final Fantasy character class Ranger/Archer/Hunter into this article čĥàñľōŕď 00:05, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm editing someone else's post because I don't know how to make my own, so sorry. I think the Ranger class in MapleStory should be mentioned, as MapleStory's wiki has gotten large.

I agree with this, but I also believe that the Ranger class from FlyFF should be incorporated as well. I'll get around to this if nobody else does.Vizierde 15:40, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aragorn

[edit]

Tolkein's use of the Ranger in his Middle Earth novels should be mentioned.

Where is mention of Aragorn. Probably most famous "ranger" in literature, as well as better known than Drizzt. 75.69.249.177 (talk) 15:35, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Phantasy Star Online

[edit]

I removed this statement:

"This fact made them very unfair in the PSO universe and players who
used these broken characters were considered cowards."

Split proposal

[edit]

There is considerable overlap between the ranger and archer archetypes, however IMO they are distinct enought to warrent separate articles. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 04:26, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I feel as far as a fantasy universe goes, an Archer is a ranger just lacking some nature attunement. Hunter=Ranger in my book (Albeit hunters usually have pets). In most of these games it would appear archer is a stepping stone in to being a ranger, or the archer is the same as a ranger (if there is an archer). Oakpack4 (talk) 18:49, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
