Scarce and slanted article
[edit]The public security bureau is also accountable for Internet monitoring issues. The article is very short, of course, but furthermore it should include the more morally dubious sides of the public security bureau. I don't know where to get sources for it, but here's one that tells at least something from another perspective.

- Morally dubious? It's a police force for god's sake, of course it does "morally dubious" things like enforcing government orders. I don't see what the big fuss is about. --PalaceGuard008 (Talk) 09:45, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Something as large and with such a history as the PSB should have a much more informative article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.33.169.217 (talk) 05:24, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Should its name be capitalised? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 04:23, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

Chinese public security bureau → Chinese Public Security Bureau – Incorrect capitalization of the agency. Lunaticar (talk) 04:45, 14 May 2017 (UTC) --Relisting. SkyWarrior 14:47, 21 May 2017 (UTC)
- Move to Public security bureaux in China The purpose of lowercase here seems to be to imply that there are multiple. "Chinese Public Security Bureau" sounds like a single bureau, but this article is about public security bureaux in China generally. An article about police stations in the UK would better be called "Police stations in the UK" rather than "British Police Station", wouldn't you say? —A L T E R C A R I ✍ 15:46, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
- Move to Public security bureau (China). This is a generic term not a proper name and this is our usual format for such terms. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:55, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

- Public security bureau (China) → Public security bureau
- Public security bureau → Public security bureau (disambiguation)
– I closed the previous RM discussion three years ago, but I feel like this article is the WP:PTOPIC for "Public security bureau". Page views indicate that this article receives over half the visits for articles under this name; note that this article about public security bureaus in China serves as a WP:CONCEPTDAB for Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, which is about the specific public security bureau in the city of Beijing. Also, web search results for "public security bureau" are mostly about China. feminist (talk) 04:12, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
