A Talking Dessert?
[edit]I would like to point out that the article says:
"There's a new character in the game, a talking dessert named Max who will guide Professor Layton and Luke throughout the story."
I doubt that this is correct, and it's not cited. --Marshmello 22:49, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, hard to tell at this point. For the first time, I searched up on Google and only got the Wikipedia result with all the words. --staka (T ・C) 14:36, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
What about the character of Claire that I see in the trailer? How does she factor into this? She seems to not be the same character as Flora. (Ok, I admit it- I wanna gush over a romantic Layton!) Tokyogirl79 (talk) 20:43, 18 February 2009 (UTC)Tokyogirl79
- Claire is Layton's girlfriend from his college days. :) There are lots of very adorable flashbacks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.0.54.191 (talk) 03:42, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Okay, honestly. I keep getting rid of the spoiler (Klaus) only to have it be reverted. Can we please keep these games unspoiled for people who are just looking up general information? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.0.54.191 (talk) 01:43, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Seeing as to how most games' pages have the plot all lined up ready to spoil for anyone who reads, I don't think it would be that bad as long as there's a spoiler tag. Plus, I myself want to know the deal with Klaus anyway, since nobody on the web has exact info and last time travel won't get out of japan for a long time. : ( —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.16.135.105 (talk) 05:02, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- Spoiler tags are not allowed.--76.66.191.64 (talk) 02:13, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Is there any legitimate reason for this? I see nothing at all wrong with them. Why would such a courteous warning be against the rules?69.80.182.30 (talk) 05:23, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
Plot
[edit]I just wrote out the entire plot to the game. I know it is long, but it truly cant be shorter. I dont know what to do, but it was as short was possible. AlexanderLD (talk) 14:47, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
I edited the plot. It was far too detailed. Ragin raven (talk) 17:30, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Edited your summary a tad. Micro01 (talk) 02:42, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
A Ticket to Time Travel?
[edit]The Hidden Room section of Diabolical Box's menu shows two links. One is titled The Diabolical Box, and the other A Ticket to Time Travel. Considering the content of this third installment, and the fact that The Hidden Room sections deal with other copies of the game, would it be safe to assume that America already has a title for this installment? 69.80.182.30 (talk) 18:05, 5 October 2009 (UTC) (Joe the Timelord [haven't signed up yet, lol])
スダーンガン博士
[edit](I think that was the katakana) Wouldn't it be romanized as something like "Dr. Stahngan"? Or maybe even Dr. Stun-gun ha ha... Micro01 (talk) 03:19, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
Official Name
[edit]Level-5 trademarked the English name "Professor Layton and the Unwound Future" definately relates to this game. So I am changing the name of the page. http://www.siliconera.com/2010/05/21/professor-layton-and-the-unwound-future-sleuthed/ AlexanderLD (talk)
Two boxarts
[edit]It was already discussed on the talk for Diabolical Box, that there should not be two different boxarts. We will be using the North American boxart because that was the version of the game releaseed first. AlexanderLD (talk) 17:57, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
America?
[edit]Unless I missed something, I dont recall Luke saying he is leaving to America. So, I would presume that is either vandallism, or lack of knowledge. I will disregard that part of the post, unless I see some proof meaning a screenshot of the game that says that. AlexanderLD (talk) 20:37, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- Luke states this about chapter 4-5, and of course referenced in the epilogue. You're unlikely going to find a screenshot of it, of course. --MASEM (t) 20:47, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- No, I remember him saying that he was leaving, but I dont remember him saying it was to America... Yes he left, but I dont really remember America being the destination. Plus, Layton would not have left England to travel all the way to America at the very end... AlexanderLD (talk) 22:48, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
Spoilers
[edit]As per Wikipedia guidelines, we are allowed to include spoilers, and we do NOT remove content because they may contain information that is relating to spoilers. When making a major change, please consult the Discussion part of the article. Thank you. AlexanderLD (talk) 13:10, 26 September 2010 (UTC)
Release and Reception
[edit]I propose that the Release and Reception section be split up into two different sections. Also, I think that there should be more info about the reception of the game, as it's been out for quite some time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.60.243.144 (talk) 21:06, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Ending theme
[edit]The ending theme from the game was omitted from the soundtrack for unknown reasons and instead was replaced with an instrumental version. Is there supposed to be a sung ending theme in the Japanese version? The American version is instrumental too --190.139.212.60 (talk) 00:56, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
- Two different instrumental versions. The one on the soundtrack is a piano one that can also be heard in the game's sound test in either region. In Japan, the one that plays in the credits is sung - elsewhere, it's a second instrumental version with more instruments.
Downloadable puzzles
[edit]In the article it states: "additional weekly puzzles ... with one being released each week from the original release date, for 33 weeks" however on Nintendo's website it states: "With over 165 in-game puzzles and 30 downloadable puzzles ... Connect to Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection to download a new puzzle each week for 30 weeks after the game launches." Is this a mistake or is there something I am unaware of. I am reticent to change it immediately in case this is a well known discrepancy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JamesL567 (talk • contribs) 12:36, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
