Proposed Deletion

[edit]

Since this article hasn't been revised, reconstructed, or reorganized and throughly checked for validity and content clarity, I propose the deletion of this article until a member can properly construct an article pertaining to Perfect World and Perfect World International in a correct way with complete and verifiable sources. 24.116.33.54 (talk) 23:20, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Immediate Article Reconstruction

[edit]

This entire article needs to be re-done, because it's been changed so much that it only reflects the International version (which is basically the North American Version), and needs to incorporate the different versions MY (Malaysian) and Europe, as well as make exact distinguishments between the three. If you look back far enough this article use to talk about the MY version and now only speaks that of the International version, as far as I know races like "Tideborn" do NOT exist in the Malaysian version. How this article got centered on one region of the game is beyond me, just because it's aptly called "International" it isn't... This article is in need of some immediate reconstruction to clear up these mistakes which have been made. 24.117.43.78 (talk) 03:55, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

+After Reviewing the references, I have found that there are mixed in features between the Chinese Malaysian and International versions. For example, as far as I know, the Phone Lock feature is entirely exclusive to the Malaysian part of the game. Just another mention that this article is overdue for an overhaul before it becomes far too distorted. 24.117.43.78 (talk) 08:57, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

gameplay

[edit]

if the only aspect of gameplay is click to move your character around or use Wasd keys, there should at least be some talk about how shitty a game this is for making a game where thats all you do. the title of the topic is gameplay, not classes, not movement system. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.105.169.186 (talk) 03:25, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gameplay is what a user does, in this game the user moves around and goes on quests while developing their character. I don't think theres much more to it. Sir LoseALot (talk) 16:42, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

sorry, this is my first activity on Wiki. I have played Perfect World for a bit now and have been impressed by the community there most of all. The players are generally polite and simply there to have fun. I find this contrasting very well with the communities in WoW, AoC, Cabal, FlyFF, and several others. As for a section on gameplay, it is quite simple, could the WoW article not be a base for the gameplay of PW. They are incredibly similar. Because of some unregistered people deleting fansite links all the time or changing the adress to their own instead of the original I'd like to request a write protection for that section so that it can only be edited by registered users. I know that it's possible to do so but I just don't know how or whom to ask. --Mortes 14:11, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have requested for the whole page semi-protection.just waiting for the response from admin now. - Lancerex6 23:43, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The request have been denied, it says there not enough recent activity of vandalism. Lancerex6 01:31, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fansite Edit

[edit]

For those IP editors, is there any reason why you are changing things around as it proved no point of doing so. If you really wish to edit this article, please discuss it or leave a edit summary. Lancerex6 01:40, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I remember visiting this wiki article and found a lot more fansites than what is currently listed. Can anyone fix this? -Miaire 08:45, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Added the new Official MY-EN website

[edit]

Yea, the site for English (Non Phili) launched as of the date of this post, and I wanted to edit it in. The title of it might not be up to snuff, but I did my best. Feel free to fix it. The link is right though, and I think it belongs there. Bronislav84 01:57, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Changed title of the link. Bronislav84 09:10, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In regards to this, many people have the confusion that the MY-EN Version is the International Version. They are not the same, an International version was still cited to be due by their developer website at an unknown time by an unknown company specifically for North America and Europe in English. Such would thus give more localized components, which thus far appears to be localized events as well as permitting cafes in both continents to register with the server. This is a huge difference compared to MY-EN Service. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Krescen (talkcontribs) 05:43, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Encyclopedic?

[edit]

Having trouble agreeing that this entry is encyclopedic - at the present time it is basically advertising. Are there no reliable references? Is there no history, market, or usership data? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.105.169.186 (talk) 11:24, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I totally agree, there needs to be some history, market info, more data/facts on the game, please can we get some numbers and info, and such? Noaru (talk) 07:02, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree too... reading about guilds, it seems all fine, but the truth is completely different. PWI version also has many bugs, you can't set normal slogan (can't use spaces, punctuation), title limited to 4 chars, it's obviously still designed for Chinese characters. There is much more to this, article is biased very positively - and don't get me wrong, I play the game a lot. But it's far from perfect like it seems on the Wikipedia. Virgo47 (talk) 10:03, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes we do need a lot more of viable sources and citations... 75.172.182.230 (talk) 06:33, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

When posts about Lost Empire?

It's been missing for a while. Anyone working on this? If not I'll start it up tonight.

Europe speaks english?? And why PWI only?

[edit]

The International Version is specifically built to accommodate North America, Europe, and other English-speaking territories.

From the header. Its an unfortunately composed sentence, but the whole article is based on the PW-I version of the game. Which is not everything. 192.100.130.228 (talk) 09:54, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cube of Fate

Hey did a little cleaning and editing. Would someone like to tackle writing about the Cube of Fate? or is that to specific? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Panhan (talkcontribs) 22:28, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Perfect World V.1

[edit]

There should be some differentiating article/statement between the Pay to Play version of Perfect World 1 and the Free to Play version of Perfect World 2 (The now version), or the article should be changed. 75.172.182.230 (talk) 06:31, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Private servers?

[edit]

I dont really believe that the section on Private Servers should be there. First off, it is really poorly written and is not in the correct style. Second off, private servers are, to the best of my knowledge, frowned upon by the devs and are not really allowed.

But if for some reason it does stay up, it really needs to be fixed. It doesn't even use proper grammar.

Agreed. It's poorly written and IS illegal.

Section on various editions

[edit]

I think we need a section on the various places this has been released. Who is running it, dates it was set up, etc, if the versions of the games are varying that should be noted too.--Crossmr (talk) 03:29, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also the links section needs to be updated. I'm noticing several editions of the games missing. Perfect world china isn't even linked, I think its this: [1]? maybe someone who can read that can confirm, pw Philippines [2], and I think there is a malaysian version out there, and maybe others.--Crossmr (talk) 03:38, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Question about Rising Tide's Release Date

[edit]

Now it says here 2.12.2009, now is that February 12th, 2009 or is it December 2nd, 2009? If it is December 2nd, 2009 would it be possible to change it from 2.12.2009 to something that will specifically state "Dec. 2nd, 2009?98.163.120.145 (talk) 01:34, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tideborn 'paths'

[edit]

I'm curious as to exactly what these sentences are supposed it entail;

This race has two paths: Shadow Shroud and Blood Bath

This race has two paths: Soul Force and Chain of Souls.

Is this supposed to refer to the seperate section of there respected skill trees? My Tideborn is currently 33 and I've never head of either. And I know 9x TBs....

I'd appreciate it if someone would explain what's up.... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yllarius (talkcontribs) 08:00, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would guess that it would be biased on the skills your assassin learns. ptmc2112 (talk | contributions) 19:44, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Private Server linked from the official page

[edit]

Perfect World Europe, English Server - Official European Perfect World Website The official european server is PW-Multilingual service so this site themselves say that they're a private a server. As i don't think it's proper to link to private servers this needs to be changed and has to be changed completely. I don't go to teh WoW page and see links to private servers. So i don't expect to see private servers here as they are against the law.

This needs to be changed permantently i'm going to remove it as of right now as it's literally linking to someothing that's clearly punishable by law.--Jimmydean1965 (talk) 19:07, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They're officially licensed to run in Europe though, essentially Perfect World International, Perfect World Europe, and Perfect World MY, are all three different entities, with a different license of operations for their respective regions. 24.117.43.78 (talk) 03:49, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Faction vs Faction TW

[edit]

In the article it states that after 3 hours the team with the most players in the opposing team's base wins. In my experience, this is not the case. Rather, the team that already owned the territory (defenders) wins if the attackers fail to destroy the crystal withing the 3 hour time limit. (Of course, I can't remember an instance where three hours expired and the attackers were attacking the base at the time, so this may just be the default, if neither team has soldiers present in the opposing base). Any other voices on this one? --Masterhaines (talk) 22:35, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are corect, after having been in a number of TWs myself, I can verify that if the 3 hour time limit is reached and the defender's crystal is intact, the TW ends, and the defender keeps their territory. 69.253.39.117 (talk) 13:40, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

PWMS is going to be closed

[edit]

This message posted Game-masters.com on the website: (http://www.perfectworld.ms/)

After careful evaluation and lengthy discussions with Perfect World in China, Game-Masters.com has decided not to continue the publishing of Perfect World MS in Europe.

From 10 November 2010 Games-Masters.com will cease to run the multi-language version of the game. On this date all servers will be closed and all characters and accounts wiped. Due to technical and legal constraints it will not be possible to transfer characters to any other service.

The in-game Cash shop will remain open until the games closure to allow for the spending of any remaining Perfect World Cash. All payment gateways will however be closed on 21 October 2010, with no further purchase of PW Cash possible after this date.

We sincerely regret this action and we have obviously tried to avoid it. We would like to thank you all for your support over the past two years.

Over the last 6 months, Game-masters.com did not do anything for the players, support was not possible and not anybody from that compagny did anything to help the players. I think it is really a bad situation, all the players invested loads of money in the game, and Game_masters.com keep making promisses about updates. And now all will be deleted, all the hard work to lvl up and it is not possible to move our chars to another server? Well i learned my lesson and many people with me, never to trust Game-masters again and Perfect World is just a money grabbing game and when they have enough of it they just will not update anymore.

So just beware —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.212.120.16 (talk) 13:05, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
