What were the names of the restaurants that Paul Revere owned prior to being drafted? Was he only a part owner, or did he own them completely?

I wondered about that too. There's a passing mention here but no details.--Paloma Walker 17:26, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The Reed 'n' Bell was Paul's restaurant in Caldwell, Idaho. 209.127.239.146 (talk) 00:25, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't he also own a movie theater in Boise, Idaho?

He also owned two barber shops — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nezburns (talkcontribs) 18:58, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

SS396

[edit]

They also did a song entitled "SS396".

Solo Session?

[edit]

Ironically, The Raiders biggest hit, "Indian Reservation" (1971 - #1 - Gold single), was recorded as a Mark Lindsay solo session and included input from no one else in the band.

Not sure exactly what is meant by that...but I do know the lead singer on the track was Freddy Weller, another member of the band. Gr8white (talk) 00:30, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I was wrong...further research confirmed by YouTube video reveals Lindsay was lead vocalist, despite Billboard Book of Number One Hits claim otherwise. Gr8white (talk) 01:06, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lindsay claims he recorded Indian Reservation as a solo record - there are multiple interviews online where he makes this assertion. Revere said it was recorded by the group when they were making an album - he said the song was brought to them by Columbia A&R man Jack Gold. I have an audio interview of him saying this, posted it on youtube a couple years ago, can provide the link if necessary.

[edit]

This single is often included in discographies but was probably never issued.

"Featuring Mark Lindsay"

[edit]

How about some mention of the fact that for some time the band was officially labeled "Paul Revere & the Raiders Featuring Mark Lindsay", like, the period when this occurred? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.1.70.60 (talk) 15:13, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Batman

[edit]

In 1966, Paul Revere and the Raiders appeared in Series 2, Episode 17 of Batman, "Hizzonner the Penguin" playing an instrumental for a belly dancer at an election party for the Penguin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QA5X12RuoEY 90.192.26.97 (talk) 13:04, 7 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Joan Jett

[edit]

Anyone have a citation for the Joan Jet "Just Like Me" cover? In an admittedly-brief internet search I can find no reference to this cover. Pat Benatar did it - perhaps there's some confusion there? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.243.244.90 (talk) 16:47, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"See also: List of best-selling music artists".... What?

[edit]

There's a link in the current article revision to the list of best-selling music artists.... which they are not on. Nor would you expect them to be, since their discography article credits them with one platinum single, and zero platinum albums....

If nobody can come up with some sort of shocking explanation within a certain amount of time as to why this link makes sense, I'll eventually remove it. Knightofcups89 (talk) 21:26, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I saw no reason not to remove it immediately --hulmem (talk) 03:15, 5 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
