Talk:Overwatch seasonal events
Include non-seasonal release of new maps/skins
[edit]So today Blizzard released the Blizardworld map along with another 100+ skins. It is not so much a seasonal event but it's gained coverage (notable, the map itself). Outside of a new hero, this I believe is the first new set of skins not released as part of of event, so I feel it should belong, just a zero-day event to put it into chronological order. --Masem (t) 21:52, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
- I think that's fair. Also might make sense to eventually shift the scope to some variant of "Overwatch additional content" if there are additional non-event add-ons. czar 13:25, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
Organization
[edit]I recommend restoring the table for the basic date details and then grouping the text into sections by recurring event. If the 2020 event added new features, etc., then would add a new sentence to the existing section. Otherwise this article is just bound to accrete single-sentence sections. czar 01:37, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'll tackle that tomorrow. These are common annual events, so a table to summarize the individual events and brief sections to explain each make more sense now. --Masem (t) 02:12, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- And done. I left out some of the minor complaints about skins but left commentary about game modes. There might be more that could be recovered from the past though. --Masem (t) 01:30, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
GA?
[edit]The article seems about ready for a WP:GAN. Anything major missing? czar 17:06, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- Just thinking about structure, I think I need to add about the Bounty Hunter mode to the Chinese New Year section, and I'd like to see if I can find anything about Blizzard's ongoing attempts to freshen up seasonal challenges over the years. But its close. --Masem (t) 17:51, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
