The result of the move request was: moved. Requests four and five moved to Md. Nazrul Islam (ambassador to Ethiopia) and Md. Nazrul Islam (ambassador to Bahrain). (closed by non-admin page mover) Bensci54 (talk) 16:47, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- Nazrul Islam (politician) → Nazrul Islam (Bhola politician)
- Nazrul Islam (Bangladeshi politician) → Nazrul Islam (Mymensingh-5 politician)
- Nazrul Islam (Mymensingh politician) → Nazrul Islam (Mymensingh-3 politician)
- Md. Nazrul Islam (ambassador) → ?
- Md. Nazrul Islam (diplomat) → ?
– The first three are straightforward WP:PDAB. For the last two I have no idea how to disambiguation them (both are diplomats and ambassadors, the year of birth for neither is known), and wonder if they are actually about the same person. * Pppery * it has begun... 13:44, 20 March 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. - Strong support 1st, the Bhola politician has 5 views but the others have 160[[1]]. No comment on others. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:22, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- Comment I think the last two are the same person, as these [2][3] two sources both mention him being in the "15th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre". (One source is from the ambassador article and the other from the diplomat one.) Oddly though, the images in the sources are different. Natg 19 (talk) 21:00, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- Comment The last two are not the same person based on their images in 1 and 2. Aside from that, one has a PhD, and the other doesn't. One studied International relations, and the other studied economics at the University of Dhaka. No suggestion on how to disambiguate them.Vinegarymass911 (talk) 13:32, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- OK. If I'm reading those sources correctly then the lead of Md. Nazrul Islam (ambassador), which says "Md. Nazrul Islam is a Bangladeshi diplomat and ambassador of Bangladesh to Bahrain", which was introduced by a well-meaning IP who apparently confused the two people in January 2024, is wrong and that Md. Nazrul Islam was actually the ambassador to Ethiopia rather than to Bahrain. Thus we should move Md. Nazrul Islam (ambassador) -> Md. Nazrul Islam (ambassador to Ethiopia) and Md. Nazrul Islam (diplomat) -> Md. Nazrul Islam (ambassador to Bahrain). Does that make sense to you, Vinegarymass911? Pppery (alt) (talk) 19:11, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- Yep, that makes perfect sense.Vinegarymass911 (talk) 01:56, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
