National shrine → List of Catholic national shrines – Listify. WP:PRECISE. PPEMES (talk) 11:52, 22 July 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. — Newslinger talk 14:40, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
- Comment The current intro and the Process section seem detailed enough to belong on the base article, and it's not information I'd expect to find under the new proposed title. The list isn't that long, splitting it into its own article is probably not necessary. --148.63.157.82 (talk) 17:25, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose. It's not just a list. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:24, 24 July 2019 (UTC)

Geography
[edit]The statement from this year's Bishops' Conference[1] said that St. Winefride's Well was designated a National Shrine for England and Wales. The list in this article doesn't say when somewhere was designated a national (or international) shrine, or where it is a national shrine for.
I was wondering if a table might be a better way to present information about somewhere being a national shrine. Something along the lines of:
Name | Location | Year designated | Conference | Continent | Country | Area |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
National Shrine of the Black Nazarene | Manila | 2023 | Philippines | Asia | Philippines | |
St. Winefride's Well | Holywell | 2023 | England and Wales | Europe | United Kingdom | Wales |
I don't know how easy it would be to find out the extra information, and I'm not too happy about the column order anyway. I've assumed that a conference will always declare somewhere a national shrine for the area they cover, but I don't know. Thoughts, anyone? Aoeuidhtns (talk) 15:24, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
