Selection from Awakening from a Dream
  • ... that the murder of Wang Lianying was followed by a blitz of newspaper coverage, books, stage performances, a film, and songs (example pictured)?
  • Source: Everywhere in the article, but probably the best overview is
He, Qiliang (2018). Newspapers and the Journalistic Public in Republican China: 1917 as a Significant Year for Journalism. New York, London: Routledge. pp. 224–245. ISBN 978-0-429-79669-2.

  • QPQ done, nomination happened day after article creation, claim in hook supported by sources, the work in the hook is copyright free, and the fact that it exists and is accessible is interesting, although the work itself is maybe of variable interest (it's pretty staticy and unpleasant to listen to, hard to make out the song). Article itself is good: no copyvio, long enough, content is well supported by sources, no issues with copyright with media. Hook is interesting. One minor note is that I'm not sure if the audio file is "pictured", but that can easily be adjusted. Maybe "given"? Nice work! seefooddiet (talk) 03:03, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Contradiction

[edit]

'Although Lianying's death was linked to her occupation by contemporary commentators, few considered it to have contributed to her murder.'

Ahem, her death was directly caused by her murder. I don't see how her death could have been caused by her occupation without her murder having been caused by her occupation. 62.73.72.3 (talk) 00:48, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
