Change "Mitze Hashlagim" to "Mitzpe Hashlagim". "Mitze" isn't a word in Hebrew, and from looking at Hebrew maps of the same area, the peak seems to be called מצפה השלגים(Mitzpe Hashlagim) meaning "Snow observatory". I assume this is a typo that got copy-pasted again and again 37.122.154.26 (talk) 20:52, 15 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There are additional places where this typo still appears, such as the After 1973 section of the Arab-Israeli conflict and in redirects (The Mount Meron article mentions Mitze Hashalgim as well) UltraWorlds (talk) 06:09, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

We are missing another Hebrew Bible reference at Deuteronomy 4:48, where it is called Mount Sion in many translations (rather than Sirion) and said to be part of the Amorite territories taken by the Israelites before crossing the Jordan River like in other places.212.79.110.147 (talk) 15:06, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Identification of Hermon with Mount Saphon in Ugaritic myth edit request

[edit]

There is a double sourced statement in this article identifying Hermon with Mount Saphon, the abode of Ba'al Hadad in Ugaritic myth. However, Ugarit scholars have identified Ugaritic Mount Saphon as Jebel Aqra in Syria (attested multiple times in Jebel Aqra article), and Hermon is usually given the attribution in later Iron Age Phoenician and Canaanite sources. Could this be clarified somehow? 47.207.16.42 (talk) 19:44, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
