[edit]A number of hands have now contributed to this entry and it looks quite good; congratulations to all who did rewrites. I made a very few typographical corrections. Cokerwr 14:06, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
I have attempted repairs and added references.Cokerwr 15:35, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
This page is seriously screwed up; for example the text repeatedly references "Clark" but there is no such author or book referenced. I have tried to repair some of the more obvious boners and problems, but I have no idea what "Clark" is referred to. There are many essentially worthless UFO books by Jerome Clark; what particular book is meant?Cokerwr 15:16, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
There seems to be some disagreement as to Jessup's Date of Death. Some sources list April 20, while others list April 29. I Googled both dates and got 249 hits on the 20th date, and 414 hits on the 29th. I finally settled on the 29th because the types of sources citing this date were more specialized, scientific sites, while the more general, encyclopedic sites used the 20th date.
Fair use rationale for Image:Mjessup.jpg
[edit]Image:Mjessup.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
