I suggest "April 2015 Nepal earthquake" and "May 2015 Nepal earthquake" rather than 2015 Nepal earthquake and 2015 Nepal earthquake IINicholas (reply) @ 13:59, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Was going to say the same. I believe our SOP is to use month to disambiguate. The current title - good enough to get the article started - is not a helpful disambiguator in the long run. Resolute 14:55, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not yet convinced of the wisdom of having two articles at all. This is an aftershock (as per the USGS) though an exceptionally large one. Right now there is no almost no information here that isn't also in the original April quake page. In addition, most of the relief and response for this event is likely to overlap the ongoing response to the prior quake. Maybe this can be expanded and differentiated, but it might also make sense to write about this major aftershock by adding material to the original page and not keep a separate page here. Dabbing by month would be a good idea. I do think this should have its own article though. The main one is already split on multiple fronts (partially for size reasons), and this is another logical split. The recovery efforts are indeed likely to overlap, but the recovery efforts are already largely split from the main article and there will be fresh search and rescue operations now, whereas the main quake is beyond that phase. --ThaddeusB (talk) 15:26, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I moved this page to "May 2015 Nepal earthquake". I'm not sure about moving the original - that should probably be a broader discussion (i.e. at the main page) if it desired. At minimum, I would expect 2015 Nepal earthquake to redirect to the original quake instead of being a dab page, so I'm not sure a move is needed. --ThaddeusB (talk) 15:58, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Include helicopter crash

[edit]

Since there is no article on the helicopter crash, perhaps there could be a sub-section on this article since it is closely related to the relief effort. 8 fatalities is certainly notable enough for this, given that the 4-fatality Airbus A400M crash in Spain has its own article and is not being considered for deletion under the "Not News" policy.

Edit: Disregard. Did not see mention of crash in damage and casualties section. But perhaps an entry on the 2015 aviation accidents template and a redirect to this page is in order?

Questions: 1. Who is dawnseeker2000? 2. Was Dawnseeker2000 a memeber of any response organization for this event? Globalaide (talk) 22:38, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am a Wikipedia editor. This is a sophisticated and convoluted website, so I left a welcome message on your talk page that contains numerous links that will help you get started here. A few that might be looked at first are WP:V, WP:NOT, and WP:REFB. Dawnseeker2000 01:38, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
