[edit]Someone moved it from MU* games to MUD clients. I don't feel this is appropriate since it is a protocol the servers must also implement to be of use. --Sydius (talk) 20:48, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- MXP is discussed in several mud client related articles while mention of it is absent in mud games related articles. Also, MXP originated from Zmud.
- Certainly MUD servers require implementing MXP, but extending that reasoning, do you also propose that JavaScript should be categorized in the 'notable websites' category? --Scandum (talk) 21:17, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- No, I'm saying that putting it in MUD clients is too specific. If there were a MUD protocols category, I'd say it should go in that, but there isn't (maybe there should be, since I can think of at least three, but maybe that's not enough). It applies to both clients and servers, and MU* Games is the most-specific category I could find that isn't so specific that it rules out half the context in which the protocol is used. --Sydius (talk) 01:31, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Objection to deletion proposal
[edit]As per my similar edit to MCCP I oppose the deletion of this page. I recognise that the quality is not particularly high (and in this case it matches that of the protocol which has some areas that have not been "nailed down" firmly and are subject to {possibly incompatible} "variation" in implementation!)
