[edit]

The 152 DLC songs from World Tour should be added to the DLC list of Guitar Hero 5.

Error in page

[edit]

"Players on the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 can delete individual songs after downloading the pack.[17][18]" error -> not possible to delete individual songs on Xbox 360 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.197.56.105 (talk) 03:51, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oops

[edit]

I tried t put 1963 as the year for Ring Of Fire, but now the words Ring of fire show up in the year column and Johnny Cash appears as a song name, and theres no artist. Oops —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.197.13.157 (talk) 17:28, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

fee

[edit]

someone should point what's the "small fee" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.155.7.200 (talk) 14:50, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tiering

[edit]

Someone should do the tiering correct, that is, putting the song in the right order which is not alphabetically. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Daniel192 (talkcontribs) 23:59, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fee

[edit]

the "small fee" should be listed, it's 200 Microsoft Points for the Xbox, I exported the songs yesterday of GH:WT and for Smash Hits is 160 Microsoft Points, exported them yesterday too —Preceding unsigned comment added by GastroTV (talkcontribs) 21:03, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

October

[edit]

Any news on October's DLC yet? CheddarBBQ (talk) 19:45, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RIng of Fire wrong year?

[edit]

Ring of Fire was in 1963 not 1987 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.197.13.157 (talk) 20:40, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Game says 1987, most likely a re-recording.--猛禽22 20:49, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's quite definitely a re-recording. Screwed me up the first time I tried to vox it. Crazydiamond1to9 (talk) 06:06, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Imports

[edit]

As of checking this morning on my PS3, I did NOT see a Band Hero import option. Does anyone have a source as to when the the Band Hero tracks will be importable? Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 21:23, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tomorrow the 5th. --MASEM (t) 22:23, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sadly, that source appears to be incorrect. I tried again late last night and the option was still not available. Best, --A NobodyMy talk 14:27, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That's based on Activision's announcement of the monthly DLC, so it's Activision that needs to correct itself. Also, at least some people have been able to do it, now this is on the 360 so I don't know if the PS3 version is delayed or not. [1] --MASEM (t) 14:37, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'll have to check again this evening after class. Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 14:54, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regional differences

[edit]

In Europe (or at the very least on my Wii which is in the UK!) much of the downloadable content (including the Rolling Stones track pack) is unavailable. Is there a convenient source of regional variations in track availability? Longwayround (talk) 21:44, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Genres

[edit]

I don't own this game, but I'm positive that Guitar Hero doesn't list Genres, that's a Rock Band thing. And some of these are way off... for example Kryptonite is NOT Southern Rock. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Guitar Hero: Mario Mix (talkcontribs) 15:50, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GH5/BH certainly does include Genres in the song selection screen, though I can't presently confirm if Kyrptonite is listed correctly. --MASEM (t) 16:14, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

vampire weekend is not surf rock, rush is not progressive rock. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.197.13.157 (talk) 20:27, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Er, Rush is probably the best example of progressive rock there is. I will double check these genres when I get a chance, but we have to go by how they are classified in game, not what we feel they should be. --MASEM (t) 20:44, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

really? i classify them under classic rock....but Vampire Weekend really doesn't belong in Surfer Rock —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.197.13.157 (talk) 23:59, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've spot checked the list and they are all classified correctly (including Vampire Weekend as Surf Rock, and 3 Doors Down as Southern Rock). We can't "correct" these if some feel them to be wrong. --MASEM (t) 01:41, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why aren't the genres listed for the DLC? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.32.215.11 (talk) 04:14, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DLC on Wii

[edit]

The latest free songs (thank the fancs track pack, steve ouimette) are not available for Wii. I can only speculate that this has something to do with the shop system which is likely to consist of Nintendos payment service (which uses the Wii points) and game specific servers. A possible reason could be that Nintendo is either not wanting free DLC or charging some amount for every DLC. Every DLC has to be registered in that WFC payment system, so that would not be surprising. Has anyone seen some publication for this? --93.134.236.124 (talk) 11:54, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Genres in DLC?

[edit]

hey, don't you all think that it would be nice to put the genres in the downloadable songs too? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4lic (talkcontribs) 23:26, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I added them now. CharlieKaneAndSon (talk) 14:45, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Playing the game, I see that the 30 Seconds to Mars track pack genre is alternative.--79.44.20.59 (talk) 11:59, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The 30 Seconds to Mars Track Pack is listed as Pop Rock in the music store. CharlieKaneAndSon (talk) 11:44, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No, it isn't. The 30 Seconds to Mars track pack is listened as Alternative in the game.--79.25.34.8 (talk) 15:54, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

free dlc

[edit]

it's probably worth noting that none of the free dlc from both gh5 and world tour is available any more (at least not on the 360).61.69.165.157 (talk) 23:40, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Such videos are not reliable sources. Likely activision will have their usual presser about april DLC. --MASEM (t) 02:17, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It was filmed by elfson, the one who purchases all the DLC songs eversince it's beginning, plus, it's from the wii store. It's not reliable, but it could be put as "possibly" we'll know this weekend —Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.155.25.188 (talk) 21:52, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

83 Songs?

[edit]

I rented this at Blockbuster(the PS3 version) and right off the bat there were 92 songs available on Quickplay instead of the stated 83, no downloaded/imported songs(only played GH: Metallica beforehand) Andy5421 (talk) 11:28, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The game is counting the seven pre-made GHTune songs in addition to the 85 on-disc songs.CharlieKaneAndSon (talk) 13:07, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Spain anthem

[edit]

According to a tweet from Activision's Dan Amrich, the Spanish anthem isn't available because of licensing issues. [2] Groudon199 (talk) 15:51, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

it's listed in the article as not being available in the US due to licensing, but that's not exactly true- it's also not available (on the 360 at least) in australia, england, new zealand, japan...(eg everywhere). it might as well just be removed since it's not available anywhere.59.101.32.38 (talk) 10:14, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Korn dlc

[edit]

On Korn AND Guitar Hero's Facebook they asked what songs off their new albulm would you want to see. So Korn dlc is confirmed.--184.35.29.53 (talk) 22:32, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Completely hypothetical question. Until announcements are made for its release, it is not confirmed. --MASEM (t) 22:38, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I was just saying that most likely it will happen since Guitar Hero posted it.http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=123596944348115#!/GuitarHero--184.35.29.53 (talk) 22:48, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
