Renumbering Presidents vs. Head of State

[edit]

Note, the ref just added, is the major English language reference, listing "Presidents of Niger" Kountche is there. He had a Presidential Guard. He was President of Niger. The Website of the Presidency of Niger lists him as such. Please don't re-number the presidents of Niger based of assumption. Thank you. 05:19, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Kountche.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 3 December 2011

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

Add election

[edit]

It would be informative to include whether the person was elected or seized power, perhaps in the notes section alongside whether they were deposed. Thanks. Gregory dj (talk) 14:15, 27 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: not moved. The consensus is that the current title better defines the scope of the article. Jenks24 (talk) 11:50, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

List of heads of state of NigerList of Presidents of Niger – It should be moved for the sake of consistency with other similar articles. Sundostund (talk) 23:17, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). — JJMC89(T·C) 03:53, 3 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Not all appear to have held the title president. Should probably be discussed more. TonyBallioni (talk) 01:42, 3 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Majority have held the title president. When it comes to lists of African leaders, its almost never the case that all officeholders in a list have held the same title. Should be moved now, and if other editors oppose the move, it could be reverted. --Sundostund (talk) 03:01, 3 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
