Images such as flag icons, etc. should not be added to section heading per MOS:HEAD. This is because doing so creates accessibility problems for visually impaired persons. It might seem hard to understand at first, but there are people who may not be able to see very well or who may perhaps even be considered to be blind, who enjoy "reading" Wikipedia just as much as someone whose has no such problem. There people may use special devices which basically read the article for them and convert the text into a format the user can understand. Adding image file syntax to section headings may disrupt the function of these devices and thus prevent them from properly functioning. Wikipedia strives to be a fee encyclopedia access to all, so for this reason image files should not be added to the headings. Instead they should be incorporated into the relevant section (if necessary) in some other way. This was discussed at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Archive 112#Lists of expatriate association football players and the consensus established was quite strong against allowing such use. The Wikipedia MOS is also a community-wide guideline which applies to all articles and should be adhered to unless there's a really good reason not to. Please discuss below if you feel this article should be treated as an exception to the MOS. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:15, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Cp6379: Please do not continue to add flag icons to the section headings. As explained above, this is something which is clearly not allowed per MOS:HEAD, which is a community-wide consensus that applies to all articles. These flag icons have already been removed by myself and by S.A. Julio on multiple occasions. You have also been advised about this at User talk:Cp6379#November 2017. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask them here; however, if you continue to engage in edit warring to re-add these icons, an administrator will be asked to intervene to prevent any further disruption. -- Marchjuly (talk) 09:21, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
