Fair use image removals
The per-character images here have been removed per Wikipedia:NFC#Unacceptable_images. If you dispute this removal, please feel free to take this issue up at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. While there is no consensus on *this* particular Wikipedia article to remove the images, there is broad consensus (and has been for a long time now) that this usage is inappropriate. We do not need to obtain consensus to apply policy and guidelines each time we apply them. They are already approved actions and have already been debated. Dan vs everybody else
Why/how does Dan get his own page, while everyone else is a section on this List page? Even the title character (Roseanne) doesn't get one - Roseanne Conner redirects to the List of. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.209.2.57 (talk) 09:19, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think it's a question of why Dan has his own page, but why the other main characters don't. Countless characters from countless TV shows have their own articles. Just my opinion, though. Ryziun (talk) 15:18, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
- Dan Conner has substantial third person sources to justify a solo article. If you feel other Roseanne characters article deserve solo articles provide evidence WP:VERIFY its notability. Dwanyewest (talk) 05:12, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
I merged in the character bio and references to his character section in this article. Awards and nominations belong on either John Goodman's page or in the main Roseanne article, not in a character summary. Also, details related to on-set outbursts, walk-offs, etc. do not belong in character bios. Sottolacqua (talk) 17:10, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
- I disagree, I think those details provide for the real world context required for articles on fictional characters. Articles on fictional characters can't be simply character bios. Also, if the awards won were for his portrayal of the character then they most definitely belong in the article for that character. For An Angel (talk) 17:56, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
- Given that this article is a list of the characters, it seems appropriate to primarily focus on the characters, not the actors. If an actor won an award for their portrayal of the character I'd support including that (with reliable sourcing of course), but other situations involving the actor should be included on the show's page, but not a character listing, IMO. - I wasn't talking about this list of characters article, I was talking about the article on Dan Connor that Sottolacqua merged into this one. The question is basically do any of these characters deserve their own articles? For An Angel (talk) 03:14, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
- The only one whom I could see having enough reliable third-party coverage to merit their own article is Roseanne herself possibly. Doniago (talk) 14:19, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

occasionally or many?
on Leon Karp "he is occasionally seen dating many men and having romantic troubles." EIther he is occasionally seen dating men or he is seen dating many men. I'm still working my way through the early seasons, so I'm not sure which it is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.21.195.154 (talk) 23:26, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- I read it as (occasionally seen) dating (many men). As in, we occasionally see him dating multiple men simultaneously. Which, of course, is probably false .. but funnier. ;) --207.236.177.82 (talk) 23:55, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
Recurring Characters
About those characters that were mainly around for only one season: I am going to put one sentence summaries about who they are into the article. In-Correct (talk) 01:45, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
Roseanne Conner's Age
According to the episode entitled, Thanksgiving '93, Roseanne was born in November 1952. You can watch this on YouTube at www.youtube.com/watch?v=42FLZEOwgm8. Go to 5:30. What is the source for the current birthdate? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sbwinter2 (talk • contribs) 01:45, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
- I have removed all of the birthdates since (a) they were unsourced, and more importantly because (b) they constitute plot info of negligible import for characterization and the plot and (c) encyclopedic accounts of fictional characters should not be written up like biographies to begin with. That is, if a date (including a birthdate) is important for the plot or overall characterization, it can and should be mentioned, at the appropriate place with regard to the fiction's publishing history. But fictional characters' birthdates and the like should not be treated as a standard piece of info as in a biography. --78.35.238.207 (talk) 11:36, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
No Booker Brooks?
Kinda surprised that Booker Brooks isn't mentioned, it was one of George Clooney's first recurring roles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.68.119.146 (talk) 04:45, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
