GTA Liberty City Stories Characters

[edit]

Toni Cipriani

[edit]

Toni is the guy you play as. He has just returned to Liberty City after laying low for the past four years for taking out one of Salvatore Leone rivals. Now Toni is back but he finds that his favor to the Don Salvatore was not much appreciated as he hoped.

Ma Cipriani

[edit]

Toni's dearly beloved mother is none too pleased that Toni was gone so long without so much as a phonecall and believes her son has been too scared to show his face in Liberty City. Toni is determined to prove her wrong.

Salvatore Leone

[edit]

The head of the Leone family in Liberty City and one of the most feared Don's in all of America. Always working towards expanding Leone operations and dominating the underworld, Salvatore runs his family with traditional Sicilian values and an iron fist.

Vincenzo Cilli

[edit]

When Toni left Liberty City, Vincenzo was still getting drinks for the made guys in Leone bars and poker rooms. His good lucks, education and smooth demeanor have enabled him to rise through the family ranks quickly these last couple of years in Toni's absence. At heart Vinnie is only interested in himself, however.

Maria Latore

[edit]

Maria is a beautiful and obnoxious party girl who currently finds herself the arm candy of Don Salvatore Leone.

Massimo Torini

[edit]

One of the Cosa Nostra's old guards from Sicily, Torini is tough and ruthless. He has come to Liberty City to help stabilize the warring crime families.

Giovanni Casa

[edit]

A stocky girthsome man, Giovanni Casa runs one of Liberty City's favourite Italian delis in ST. Marks district and has caught the eye of Toni's mother with his special Sicilian sausage. Giovanni is a tough talker but when it comes time to back it up he reverts to his true cowardly self. Ultimately, Casa is a mommy's boy and he doesn't care whose momma.

Franco Forelli

[edit]

The epitome of selfish greed, Franco is the diminutive boss of the Forelli family. The Forelli's are a serious thorn in the Don Salvatore's side and are currently warring with them for control of Liberty City.

Pauli Sindacco

[edit]

Head of the Sindacco family interests in Liberty City, Paulie Sindacco is rarely seen and has become known as "The Invisible Don." Pauli is usually on at Las Verturas, San Andreas where many of the Sindacco holding are located.

Salvatore

[edit]

You can verify that he is from Sicily by going to the official site, clicking on Portland, clicking on Gentlemans club in the middle right of the map and reading the newspaper article.

avery carrington

[edit]

is there any statements from rockstar that can prove he "underwent surgery to remove a cancerous lump on his throat", or is it just subtle vandalism? --Phil 13:35, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't played the game myself, but it seems none of this is mentioned in the game itself. Avery only appears once in a mission where Toni and Donald track down and kill him, and there doesn't appear to be any voice acting from Avery himself. I would probably need a game script to confirm this though. ╫ 25 ◀RingADing▶ 15:15, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
i've completed the game and he only appeared in one mission and wasn't voiced at all. I think it's just vandalism --Phil 23:40, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I put that there, but I read the cancer thing from a reliable source (gtagaming.com). I assumed they heard Avery speak during the mission, but I did not. I'll get rid of it - Guy bored at work who wrote the character descriptions for nearly every character

Am I losing my mind, or...

[edit]

...Didn't the section on "Ma Cipriani" used to say something about the player having the chance to kill her sometime during the game, leaving a potential plot hole due to her appearance in GTAIII? I searched the page history and I'm not finding anything like that, but I could have sworn I saw that here. Am I losing my mind or what? -albrozdude 22:38, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You must be referring to List of characters in Grand Theft Auto III, and I removed it as there was no such opportunity. The mission the passage refers to ("No Son of Mine") didn't offer any chance to kill her, before, during and after she dispatched hitmen to kill Toni. ╫ 25 ◀RingADing▶ 05:22, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! I knew I saw that somewhere. I feel better now. -albrozdude 17:15, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Happy to help. :) ╫ 25 ◀RingADing▶ 18:11, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Leone's Uncle

[edit]

hey, I've just noticed something suspicious about Leone's uncle, who is unnamed. Could he be the elderly man the Cartel rescue in the GTA3 intro movie?

If so, this could mean a GTA set in the not to distant future where this plot hole may be explained Shas'o sodit 00:42, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's not true. It's has been suggested repeatedly that the kidnap victim in GTA III is an unnamed oriental gentleman/friend. Furthermore, Leone's uncle is hunched and needed a walking stick; the oriental man doesn't. ╫ 25 ◀RingADing▶ 10:44, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jane Hopper

[edit]

In my opinion, Jane Hopper should be in the minor characters section because she only appears in about 1 or 2 missions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.249.26.53 (talk) 14:19, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Moved to supporting part, she's definitely not a major character, at least not one if Toshiko ain't. Things are now fixed up as well. --Flesh-n-Bone (talk·contributions) 19:00, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
