Ike

[edit]

Personally, I feel that if Roy deserves an article separate from the rest of the FE6 crew, then so does Ike. Ike's the first popular worldwide lord, appeared in two games, and now has Roy's seemingly lone advantage of being a Smash. Bros fighter. I believe that either Ike should get a separate article or Roy's be deleted. -Rmzy717 00:27, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Something doesn't seem right...

[edit]

Alright I don't know what's going on but I can't seem to find any "recent scans" that shows any of the recurring characters such as the Greil Mercenaries, Naesala, Brom, etc. Also, what is this about the opening scene showing Naesala and Renning? Since it was not cited and I can't find it, I will be taking it out in 24 hours. Sorry if it's actually around and I can't find it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Parafusion (talkcontribs) 06:59, 24 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Not a recent scan- more like a screenshot. Also the opening movie. Aveyn Knight 14:46, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah alright, that makes more sense. Thanks a lot! But uh, the opening movie redirect seem to lead to the same pics. Don't get me wrong, I am just saying. Again, many thanks for the screen shot. --Parafusion 02:24, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Correct link - Opening movie. And BTW, here's a picture to prove that Mist is in the sequal as well - Pic of Mist, Soren, and Titania. 24.148.19.127 15:43, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the characters have been proven from actual game footage and the info is outdated in the article.

Clarification

[edit]

I think ALL the characters from PoR are now confirmed, true?

I'm thinking, no. Uh, I haven't heard anything about Stefan and a couple of the ones listed on this page I am still uncertain about. By saying that I mean, there are no sources that I AM aware of confirming certain characters listed here. The sources above confirm a good bit of them. Peregrine 17:11, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

All the FE9 characters, other than Largo (who is a NPC this time round), are confirmed to be playable. Aveyn Knight 20:09, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The character lists for Path of Radiance/Akatsuki no megami

[edit]

Just wondering, what's the best way to handle the fact that these two games share pretty much the same cast, give or take a set of characters? Two lists that list the same people seems, I dunno, redundant. 24.148.19.127 03:06, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, some of the FE9 cast have changed and they feature in events unique to FE10. For example commenting on the Black Knight's identity being revealed in the FE9 character list would be quite misleading. Aveyn Knight 20:11, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My suggestion: 1) Main characters, both new and old. 2) Returning characters, a link to the PoR page, and sections for characters whose stories/spoilers have significantly changed (ex. Zelgius, Soren) [divided into playable/nonplayable?]. For all the minor characters who happen to show up again, but have no character development, a blurb/new class description/etc. on the PoR page is enough. If certain minor characters become playable/nonplayable (ex. Sigrun, Largo) maybe a paragraph at the beginning summarizing the changes. 3) The new characters, divided into playable and non-playable. proof for character's survival

[edit]

how do you know that deghinsea survives the battle and that he may assist you because I did not hear any information about that. could you explain where you got that information from.

how do you know that deghinsea may assist you later on because I did not hear anything about that.
can anyone please answer my 2 questions from above soon? (proof of character's survial and ally)
There is a gameplay movie at Youtube that shows Deghinsea seemingly alive after being defeated. That is the proof for him surviving. As for him perhaps joining as an ally, that is speculation (mainly because Sephiran can join after being defeated and Sephiran and Deghinsea are said to have an A support together, although it's not confirmed). Aveyn Knight 14:07, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It has been comfirmed that Deghinsea is not a playable character.

If Deghinsea survived the battle, then why does Kurthnaga obtain the royal skill after you defeat him.

Zelgius as Sephiran's son?

[edit]

From the main article: "it's theorized that Zelgius is Sephiran's son. The game does not confirm this, nor is it ever proven false.". Since it is speculation, I assume it should be removed? Also I wanted to know where this idea came from since it was "never confirmed". It seems as plausible as Jill being Titania's daughter- that has never been confirmed, but never been proven false as well. Aveyn Knight 14:15, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

character

[edit]

if deghinsea survives the battle, then why does kurthnaga obtain the royal skill at the end of the chapter —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.125.205.106 (talk) 02:15, 28 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I assumed he retired, but after checking the game script it does seem like Deghinsea dies. However there is a very (very) small chance that he may survive if certain requirements are fulfilled (like how Pelleas and Sephiran can be recruited although they normally die). Aveyn Knight 14:50, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

recruitment

[edit]

Why do you think that Deghinsea might be playable when he is not? The game pretty much comfirmed that there is no way to recruit him. The A support with spehiran (if he has one) does not mena anything. There were bosses who had A suports but were not recrutiable. Please explain where you get his from? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.125.205.106 (talk) 22:48, 29 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

The statement has already been removed, so I guess that's the end of things. If they did have an A support, that would be suspicious because they aren't bosses of the same chapter. Why does the game confirm that there is no way to recruit him? The game doesn't state anything obvious about recruiting Sephiran, but you can. Aveyn Knight 18:27, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spoilers

[edit]

Is this some better way to handle spoilers? I can see there's lots of potential spoilers- some of which I added myself. I noticed the Japanese FE10 wiki page has some nice spoiler tags. Do we have anything similar to use? Aveyn Knight 19:34, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

character

[edit]

why is zelgius listed as an npc when he is playable in 2 chapters as the BK

Is 2 or 3 chapters really enough? If so, perhaps we should list him as a PC as the Black Knight? Since we don't actually control "Zelgius". Aveyn Knight 12:28, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Then whys Pellas listed as a playable character if hes one you obtain after beating the game?--Animasage 03:42, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
He's a playable character up to the Epilogue, although you must complete the game once. If he doesn't count, neither do Karla and Farina from Blazing Sword. Aveyn Knight 21:06, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Whose usage?

[edit]

The Japanese usage fails the manual of style, which usually sees Japanese characters used in the {{nihongo}} template. On a worse turn, the lists in the article, with their bullet points and all that would explain the leadup of the OTHER article failing FAC - too much unencyclopedic content, too much stuff people are expected to know to comprehend the list. Wikipedia is not a place for discriminatory information. - Sotomura (Tetsuya-san) (yell : see) 23:47, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The only real reason I added them, was because they featured in the Path of Radiance list. So what do you suggest we do? Remove everything in the bullets and all the Japanese names? Aveyn Knight 12:26, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I edited the major playable characters. Is that any better, with regards to what you said? Aveyn Knight 13:53, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed it is. Perhaps the lists can be prosified, though, provided the lead introduction explains what they are. - Sotomura (Tetsuya-san) (yell : see) 23:03, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hate to sound like an idiot, but what does "prosified" mean? Aveyn Knight 18:32, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
On Wikipedia, it means converting lists of text into prose, or, a simple paragraph. For this, it might not be necessary if the lead paragraph explains the terms. - Sotomura (Tetsuya-san) (yell : see) 21:11, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rajaion's death

[edit]

For the second time, the statement that Rajaion died at the end of Path of Radiance was changed to that he survived thanks to the Heron's galldr. His death is a fact, and he did not survive. Proof of his death can be found here. Aveyn Knight 19:06, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not completely sure what's going on, but Rajaion's death has been reverted enough times now. He died. That is a fact and I am no longer sure what I can do to point it out. If you argue otherwise, do so. Otherwise, there is nothing to obtain from bending the truth. Thus I will keep re-reverting the statement, unless something changes. Aveyn Knight 18:30, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yeah, there's also the removal of the whole quote altogether. I cannot see what reason there is to remove it, aside from it being a spoiler (but the spoiler tag was deemed redundant and we've got tons of other spoilers in here). Either people are in denial or having a joke. If it's the former, discuss it. If it's the latter, I will just keep reverting it. I have plenty of time on my hands. Aveyn Knight 20:30, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You must from the way your talking to yourself...--Animasage 03:44, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I do, and that wasn't helpful at all. I'm not completely familiar with Wikipedia, but I try. Aveyn Knight 21:08, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please refrain from personal attacks and using bad grammar. Ashnard Talk Contribs 22:26, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just replayed the game and Rajaion DOES NOT DIE! He is saved by the Galdr and anyone who reads the Epilogue knows this. He goes back to Goldoa with Ena. Notbob 5434 (talk) 23:55, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

UNIT CLASSES AND LEVEL-UPS

[edit]

I CAN SAY THAT I'D APPRICIATE IT IF SOMEONE WHO KNEW ABOUT THE CLASSES OF THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF UNITS WOULD SPEAK UP. IF YOU KNOW ANY INFORMATION ABOUT IT PLEASE LIST IT ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE AND THANK YOU —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.190.229.73 (talk) 03:09, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can't quite make out what you're trying to say, and I can imagine others will have difficulty too. If you're saying what I think you're saying, the information you're requesting is too indepth for Wikipedia. If you're looking for detailed information or data for this game, you can try checking the listed link Serenes Forest. Aveyn Knight 17:51, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spoilers

[edit]

The Game is not even out in America yet, there is massive spoilers, if there is no way to take that away for the people who want to play and not know half of the plot.

At least tell that its spoilers in the heading. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Grizlysword (talkcontribs) 18:40, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There used to be spoiler tags, but they were removed because they were redundant. People should know to expect spoilers, it's common sense. Otherwise, it's their fault for not knowing. Also, I already mentioned this in passing, but have you ever seen an encyclopedia that marks spoilers? Wikipedia isn't an exception. Aveyn Knight 13:21, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Soren.jpg

[edit]

Image:Soren.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Recurring characters in the Fire Emblem series

[edit]

I have started a discussion on the Fire Emblem talk page. Aether7 (talk) 18:22, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Now at Talk:Fire_Emblem/Archive_1#Recurring_characters_in_the_Fire_Emblem_series for those interested. 174.92.133.112 (talk) 12:59, 19 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bonds

[edit]

Apparently you get these if characters had "A rank" in Path of Radiance and you import the data to a new game. What does a bond do? Are bonds otherwise impossible unless pre-programmed?

What other character-beneficial data can be inherited from POR? Is there a guide explaining all details?

Would be informative to know, personally sidelined continuing RD until I do. 174.92.133.112 (talk) 12:56, 19 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
