Could "Deep Rising" be another movie with a similar theme? I never saw it so I can;t comment on it.24.83.178.11 10:55, 12 April 2007 (UTC)BeeCier[reply]

Removed plot tag

[edit]

I have removed the plot tag again. In addition to the

  • Infobox
  • Lede section
  • Plot section
  • Cast section
  • Soundtrack section
  • Reception section
  • References section
  • External links section
  • Navigation box

I have added

  • Production section
  • Release section
  • Home media section
  • Critical response section
  • Audience response section

Therefore, I no longer believe that the article "consists almost entirely of a plot summary". Accordingly, I have removed the {{all plot}} tag. Cheers. 64.40.54.177 (talk) 11:12, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if "Matt Roehler" added his "audience opinion" himself, but he's not a noteworthy person. One YouTube user's video (with a whopping 800 views) does not warrant its own section. Audience Response section removed 86.3.217.7 (talk) 22:46, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I notice you do a lot of reverting of edits; lots of aggressive slashing-and-burning. You reversed all of my edits on this page with a dismissive comment: " Reverted edits by PumpkinButter (talk) to last version by Ser Amantio di Nicolao please don't link common terms"

Common to whom? To people who don't speak English? They use wikipedia too. Young students/kids who are still learning? They use wikipedia too.

If I stand outside on Main Street and ask the first 10 people who go by, to define "geologist"--I doubt even one could. Perhaps you live in a highly-educated area, but keep in mind that only 37% of Americans have a college degree, and public schools often leave a lot to be desired.

You believe the term Soviet is "common"? You realize the Soviet Union dissolved 35 years ago, and a whole generation of ppl know very little about it? (When you bring the subject up in a classroom, how many seem to have a single clue?)

Sick bay is properly 2 words, not one, but you reverted that too--why? You prefer the incorrect version?

You think people outside of USA are familiar with the US Coast Guard and know its part of the US military? You think regular people can define exactly what DNA is?

I consider your edit a rather hostile action and not sure why you did it? You couldn't go thru and just remove one or two terms?

I do not engage in edit wars/pissing contests, but felt I should reply to your dismissive comment.

Please do not use reverts as weapons. And Sick bay is 2 words, not one... since you authoritatively claim its a "common term"--it seems you should already know this. PB57 (talk) 20:27, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think MOS:OL covers this better than any response I might have to offer, for the most part. The number of edits you made were extensive, and I think people generally are familiar with the concepts of things such as the US military and DNA.
Please assume good faith rather than accusing other editors of reverting as weapons. Feel free to reinsert your "sick bay" change; sometimes editors make mistakes...including you.
Also, please note that new threads should generally be placed at the bottom of Talk pages. DonIago (talk) 20:50, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
thank you for your reply. Yes, I will replace Sick Bay, Dr McCoy would want us to get it right. PB57 (talk) 21:28, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
