Split?
[edit]Shouldn't EU and NA LCS be seperated to two diffent articles, since the korean (LCK) and chinise leauges (LPL) each have different articles? EU and NA LCS don't have much more in common, than their culture. Furthermore EU and NA LCS also, since season 6, have different aproaches to their way the turnament is build. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jacob Valdemar (talk • contribs) 18:33, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
- I'm planning to split this page eventually. But if you want to do it first, go ahead.--Prisencolin (talk) 22:40, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
Seasons in infobox
[edit]It there some way we can get the two season listings at the top of the infobox to be aligned?--Prisencolin (talk)
Merge seasons
[edit]The season articles should be summarized and merged here. Their boxes are excessive, especially if there isn't enough sourced prose to support separate articles. Keep the more specific stuff on dedicated wikis, but Wikipedia is a generalist encyclopedia. czar 19:56, 9 December 2016 (UTC)

League of Legends Championship Series → League Championship Series – The LCS (esports league) rebranded and changed its full name. The move cannot be done because "League Championship Series", which used to be an incorrect spelling of the league's full name, exists as a redirect. Sources for the rebrand: LCS official announcement video, Dot Esports, Inven Global. CentreLeftRight ✉ 02:57, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 10:39, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
- @CentreLeftRight: League of Legends Championship Series and League Championship Series seem to be distinct full-length articles about different sports teams or similar. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 10:39, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Anthony Appleyard: Oh, that's my bad. If I checked I would have known that "League Championship Series" is not a redirect. Some suggestions to remedy this could be: League Championship Series (League of Legends) or League Championship Series (esports), but I feel like these two are too long. Perhaps LCS (esports), but this one is not as concise and uses the common abbreviation rather than the official name while articles for sister leagues use their full names. I hope more editors from WikiProject Video Games' esports team weigh in. CentreLeftRight ✉ 21:06, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

League of Legends Championship Series → League Championship Series (esports) – As mentioned in the previous move suggestion, the league changed its name, and League Championship Series is an MLB term, which takes the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. I think this is the most succinct way to dab this. Pbrks (talk) 16:29, 15 April 2021 (UTC) —Relisting. ~ Aseleste (t, e | c, l) 14:35, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
- Support per nom and WP:COMMONNAME. As far as I can tell, League of Legends Championship Series is still the official name for the league internally (LoL's esports press page) but League Championship Series is the common name that Riot's using. OhKayeSierra (talk) 13:06, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
Roster moves from Spring Split
[edit]We will need to update the rosters because there are many roster changes from the Spring Split 2601:483:0:B11:F07B:D27B:BDE7:D084 (talk) 13:27, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- I know it's a late update/reply, but continuing this, I just updated the rosters to reflect changes for 2024 Spring. Some info may still be a bit outdated because not every team even lists who their coaches are. 5percentjuice (talk) 00:19, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
