Reassessment
[edit]Came here via the reassessment tag on the talk page template; bumping this up to B-class. Some suggestions for improvement follow:
- It's spaced ndashes (–) or unspaced mdashes (—), not spaced mdashes, and the second time you use them in the lead would be better off without dashes at all
- Plot could use some grammar copyediting
- You say he engineered a bunch of lifeforms from the pyramid (how?), then talk about Kileak without explaining its relation to the pyramid
- Maybe it's just the plot's fault, but the ending doesn't make a lot of sense, it seems like you're skipping a few connections
- Development isn't summarized in the lead at all
- The first paragraph of reception is a bit large, consider chopping it in half. Also consider arranging it by theme (graphics, gameplay, plot, etc.) rather than by publication
- It's pretty good overall, though, you're not far from GAN. --PresN 18:15, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
Official Visual Book
[edit]There is a book for this game called Kileak: The Blood - Official Visual Book (ISBN 978-4-789790031) that was published by Sony Magazines. I don't have this book myself, so if anyone in the project or its reference library that has a copy of it, that would be appreciated. -- Hounder4 14:21, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
Mistitled?
[edit]This game was released first as Kileak: the Blood, and released in most countries as Kileak: the Blood. Any reason why this article has the America-only name as its title? — 2620:0:1003:1003:9008:2AA1:ACD8:7CDB (talk) 15:45, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- The reason why the article uses Kileak: The DNA Imperative is because it was the first name given to a game in an English-speaking market, which is the United States. Kileak: the Blood (the name given when it was first released in Japan) was later used for the European markets. – Hounder4 18:35, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- As directed at WP: COMMONNAME, English Wikipedia articles should use the title most commonly used to refer to the subject in reliable English-language sources. Most English-language sources refer to the game as Kileak: The DNA Imperative, as you'd expect, since nearly all of the countries in which the game appeared as Kileak: The Blood are not predominantly English speaking.--Martin IIIa (talk) 16:10, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
Reception cites source in the future
[edit]"Jeremy Parish of 1UP.com found the game's control scheme limited compared to that of Halo: Combat Evolved and Perfect Dark."
It doesn't make sense to cite people playing the game 10 years later and comparing it to newer games. Reception should tell how the game was received in its time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.22.119.41 (talk) 16:06, 22 February 2019 (UTC)
