Intentional redirects to disambiguation pages

[edit]

I am well aware that Kid (disambiguation) is a redirect. If you would take the time to read my edit summaries, you would know that I said as much, and if you would take the time to look at the guideline linked in my second summary (WP:FURTHERDAB), you would understand why I linked through the redirect: "To link to a disambiguation page...link to the title that includes the text '(disambiguation)', even if that's a redirect.... This helps distinguish accidental links to the disambiguation page from intentional ones." Making this distinction is useful to editors who fix links to disambiguation pages, and using these redirects to maintain the distinction is an accepted and longstanding policy. Please restore the redirect link.--ShelfSkewed Talk 20:37, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
