Possible Birthday

[edit]

I was wondering: could her birthday be August 3 (August 3 was when Tekken 2 version A was released in arcades in 1995) or September 29 (September 29 was when Tekken 2 version B was released in arcades)? I subtracted the year of her debut (1995) from her 22 years of age, which means that Jun Kazama was possibly born in 1973.

Tekken 2 did not take place in 1995, the Tekken story takes place a couple of years in the future, so Jun Kazama is not born in 1973. -Aeneiden-Rex 14:40, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, Tekken 1 & 2 took place two years in the future. Then, Tekken 3 jumped ahead 20 years. So games 3 through 5 take placea at least two decades in the future. King Zeal 15:25, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No Tekken does not take place in this decade. It's several years in the future.Aeneiden-Rex 15:28, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Who said anything about this decade? The time gap is at least 20 years as of Tekken 3, though, and not "several". King Zeal 15:31, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
But still Jun isnt born in 1973, cause Tekken takes place in the future and I don't get what your talkin about. Aeneiden-Rex 07:51, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I NEVER said it took place in 1973. What are YOU talking about? King Zeal 10:51, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You claim that Tekken 1 takes place 2 years in the future?? Where do u get this information?? Sources?? This is just your speculation. Aeneiden-Rex 11:06, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
What the hell? YOU said it yourself.
the Tekken story takes place a couple of years in the future
Your exact words. Don't tell me you're arguing against yourself now. King Zeal 14:17, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You said that too so what are u arguing about. The guy said that Jun was born in 1973 I said that tekken takes place in the future and thén u started arguing about something. U started arguing so please explain to me what u are trying so say.Aeneiden-Rex 14:20, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Rex, this is very, very bad. If one editor (or more) reverts you multiple times on the talkpage, its time to stop inserting your data. No official sources from the games say this. Its very plausible it was merely a one-night stand. Please stop continously inserting that horribly written data into the article. -Randall Brackett 15:46, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well it's still believed by many fans that they had a relationship, so therefore it should be in the article. I can write that it's pure speculation but still Kazuya and Jun apparently had some kind of attraction to each other. Aeneiden-Rex 07:51, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The story doesn't say that they were "romantically attacted" to each other. It says Jun was "propelled by a mystic force beyond her control". That sounds more like hypnotism than love.
Now, personally, I argued a while back that it would make more sense if there was a sentence in the article that said:
"According to the official story, Jun was "propelled by a mystic force" to sleep with Kazuya, so it's unknown if she was attracted due to romantic feelings, hypnotism, or just plain lust. Because of the wording of the text, some fans still argue whether or not her encounter with Kazuya was consensual or an act of rape."
But,my idea was shot down for being "unencyclopedic". King Zeal 10:51, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No the story doesn't say that they fell in love, but story doesn't deny it either, therefore it should stand cause this is an encyclopdia, it should contain all information. Namco has never said that they fell in love but they haven't denied it either. Whether or not she was hypnotized to sleep with Kazuya is not known, that is only speculation. That she was propelled by a mystic force could mean something else. Aeneiden-Rex 11:23, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Duh. That's why my idea was to make a compromise. King Zeal 12:52, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This is not so bad acctually, but she wasn't neccesarily propelled to sleep with him it could mean something else. "According to the official story, Jun was "propelled by a mystic force" to sleep with Kazuya, so it's unknown if she was attracted due to romantic feelings, hypnotism, or just plain lust. Because of the wording of the text, some fans still argue whether or not her encounter with Kazuya was consensual or an act of rape." Aeneiden-Rex 13:15, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Given the fact that she DID, in fact, sleep with him, that's rather unlikely. King Zeal 14:14, 7 July 2006 (UTC)~[reply]
That only your way of interpretting it.Aeneiden-Rex 14:21, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Believe whatever you want. There's no use arguing. King Zeal 14:25, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
But it's still your interpretation and not in any way biased information. Aeneiden-Rex 14:28, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Suffice to say, no-one really cares what the fans think at an encyclopedia. -Randall Brackett 13:59, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jun's fighting style

[edit]

From where do you get "Kazama-Ryuu Kobujutsu"? In my booklet it says her fighting style in T2 is "Aiki-jiujitsu" (spelling?) and in tekken tag it says Kazama style classic martial arts. Kazama-Ryuu Kobujutsu? I've never heard of it.Aeneiden-Rex 07:20, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It means "Kazama-Style Traditional Martial Art" in Japanese. King Zeal 14:58, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spaces in Japanese names

[edit]

I'm not sure who this is supposed to help. People who can read names can read them; people who can't, can't. Names are not shown with spaces at sites like Help:Japanese, or high-traffic articles like Junichiro Koizumi, Utada Hikaru, Hiroshige, Oda Nobunaga, or in the names of articles on the Japanese Wikipedia, etc. At any rate, I don't think that the evidence is in favor of simply saying "There's a space" and acting like the page has had a mistake. Jun's Death

[edit]

Why do alot of aticles say that Jun is dead? There has been no official statement that she's actually dead. - The 4th Snake

The strangest thing I heard (strong rumor going around) was that Jun Kazama was going to return in Tekken 6. I'm praying this is NOT true, as I cannot stand her screaming in pain when K.O.'d (the sound comes from Tekken 2, her grand debut), and I doubt Namco will change the trademark wailing scream. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't she voiced by Kimberly Forsythe? --D.F. Williams 00:33, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You know, I feel I need to say exactly what everyone else is thinking: WHO CARES?! King Zeal 05:18, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's just that she might not be dead so it shouldn't be said that she's dead. Only that she disappeared. - The 4th Snake

No, you make a valid point. It's DF Williams that seems to be a little too concerned about his or her personal reasons. King Zeal 21:20, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jun looks over at Jin in her spirit form. -(guest)

If your refering to Jin's T4 ending, forget about it. We don't know for sure if that's Jun's spirit (if any) or simple Jin's imagination. -(guest)

Tekken 3's manuel specifically says that Jin could not find a body. And with all this stuff involving Jun and Kaz's relation, the possible "angel gene" the Kazamas have, Namco constantly asking questions about her in teh games, etc....I'd say she's probably locked up somewhere inside some science lab. And Tekken 6 is suppossed to have the most amount of characters in a Tekken game ever so....really there arn't many left to bring back. Her and kunimitsu are the only ones really...unless they plan on having every form of the Jack series. And I'm assuming that was Jin's conscience/imagination in T4. (VRaptorX Sunday, March 11, 2007)

Why has nobody noticed that the final boss in tekken tag (unknown) is jun. she looks identical yet shes bin taken over by a devil wolf type creature (chinchilla 14october 2007) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.100.132.247 (talk) 09:23, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In my opinion, I think that Unknown and Jun are two different people. Jun is right handed; Unknown is left handed. I know about the identical scar (or tattoo) on her arm, but maybe Unknown is someone else who survived Ogre's attack, like Lee, Wang, etc. Besides, Tekken Tag is non-canon. It is possible that Jun survived Ogre's attack and is in shelter, but we can't be sure... yet. We'll just have to wait and see. -Hok0519 6:20 PM, October 18, 2007
This is not a forum. Make all discussion relevant to tha article. King Zeal 23:28, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well can we please at least stay with just "missing" in the thread fpr now. Half the time the word missing/vanised/etc are used but then every now and then death and dead are used. They contradict —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.94.57.49 (talk) 04:50, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
