- You need to address this on the images as they are uploaded, not here on this article. They are being removed from here because they get deleted. The licensing and permission must be attached to the image, and none of the people who review or delete images will see your message here. -- ferret (talk) 16:31, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
- @Ferret: I have added such information to the image's wikicommons talk page. It is using no assets owned by Microsoft, and those that are included are either built from the ground up by the dev team or taken from the Unity Asset Store. How would I go about uploading this image without infringing on copyright? Microsoft's content usage policy allows this game project to go ahead, and surely would cover all derivative imagery of said game so long as it uses no assets owned by Microsoft? - Microsoft's licensing that allows the games development does not necessarily allow it to be uploaded to Commons, which requires (For lack of better terminology) completely free licensing, i.e. Microsoft has to give up the right to ever complain or claim copyright on the image. I don't think their license does that. However, that only applies to Commons. Within reason, it is possible to upload non-free imagery to enwiki. Read over WP:NFCC. -- ferret (talk) 17:02, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
