Difficult Subject

[edit]

It is a difficult subject becuase it is currently in the process of being developed. I wrote this piece out because of a dead link on the Goldeneye 007 page. It could probably be peared down a little in the broad description of mods and just focus more on the actual goldeneye: source.

I'm not so sure this article should really exist to tell you the truth. Right now, it's a mod (which aren't that notable to begin with) that is in development all the while having a realistic chance of being shutdown due to copyright infringement before ever seeing the light of day. K1Bond007 06:56, September 11, 2005 (UTC)

well, the fact that the orginal goldeneye is so popular and respected means that any game that follows with the same moniker is worthy of recognition imo

For what it's worth the mod has been released now and it is playable (and fun I might add), so this particular dispute against this article's notability is now resolved. --Cyde Weys votetalk 18:54, 14 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure that Electronic Arts has no rights over the 007 licence anymore...so that probably should edited out. Insaneassassin247 00:16, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No. They have still the rights to make a game until September 2007. Activision also has the rights and upon that month, it will become exclusive. K1Bond007 01:36, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm...at least EA is losing the licence at any rate. They never unleashed the full potentional for a Bond game. Insaneassassin247 14:13, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I know he posted it years ago but I wanted point out something to Insaneassassin247. The GoldenEye licence was never with EA Or Activision. It was with RARE a British games developer (Which since 2002 has been apart of Microsoft Studios) Which is one of the reasons the Bond games haven't been able to live up to that game since because RARE weren't making it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.114.146.54 (talk) 07:16, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Project Leader Commits Suicide

[edit]

I feel this should be added to the article along with the team names. I read on a game news website an article that the head leader had burned himself intentionally with gasoline in his apartment. I got the article from a friend of mine on IGN.COM (griffin1231). -VonV

Already mentioned. K1Bond007 02:13, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
should be re-added thanks to someone deleting it - 121.44.172.25 (talk) 11:48, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Game information

[edit]

Should I add some more information about this mod? Just wondering, as I am a dedicated player... Or should I add a link to the game's own wiki? 85.12.80.128 13:31, 5 December 2006 (UTC) Unregistered user[reply]

please do.. how many people play this game? is it free? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dogma5 (talkcontribs) 03:13, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge?

[edit]

I believe this should be merged to GoldenEye 007, as it is clearly based on it, and is not strong enough to support itself, honestly. - A Link to the Past (talk) 03:56, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please state from where is the copyright taken with the link.Pharaoh of the Wizards (talk) 22:48, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just in case someone considers taking this to AFD...

There are sufficient reliable sources that can establish notability here, here, and here. MuZemike 01:41, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
