Cleanup
[edit]I've cleaned up this article to meet Wikipedia standards, removed some WP:CRUFT content, and added various citations. Hopefully it doesn't cop another AfD. --benlisquareT•C•E 13:29, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
Characters
[edit]Is someone willing to tackle adding a list of characters - a major omission of this article. Ozflashman (talk) 08:47, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
@Ozflashman: It depends, are we talking about the anime or the game itself? - DG745 (talk) 23:31, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
- The anime - I think the game would be a major undertaking and would be a separate article - although the Anime could also be an article in itself. Ozflashman (talk) 00:49, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Ozflashman: Honestly, I think that the best course might be to look at the Azur Lane article, as it shares a few similarities with Girls' Frontline, as they are both video games with anime adaptions, but I would be happy to assist if you decide to move forward with it (although I am a bit unfamiliar with the anime). - DG745 (talk) 01:44, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
- Azur Lane is similar, but also does not list characters. I have started assembling a potential solution (for the anime) here (similar to In Treatment) which would identify the characters with some context. What do you think? Ozflashman (talk) 05:59, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Ozflashman: Yeah, I think that could work. Do you need me to do anything? - DG745 (talk) 18:21, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
- I'll put some more work into it over the next few days and let you know. Ozflashman (talk) 01:14, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
- There is a new version - happy for you to add more detail if you think its required. Ozflashman (talk) 06:22, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the input, I will implement the table within the next 24 hours. Ozflashman (talk) 07:05, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- The Characters table that was just posted looks bad. Plus there are some non-important characters that was also added in the table. I suggest a regular list of characters section which only includes the main characters and those important to the plot. I can also help with it's creation since i been playing the global english version since it's release and have some familiarity with the game's plot.FonFon Alseif (talk) 11:44, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
- @FonFon Alseif: the character table is for the anime rather than the game, so some important characters to the game (such as Squad 404 / Squad DEFY) might not be in the chart for now. It would be difficult to implement every character in the game, as there's literally hundreds of t-dolls. Even just adding the ones that appear in the story would be pretty difficult, there's factors to consider such as whether or not to implement campaign / night / emergency stages. Additionally, there's technically another place for all of this information on the IOP wiki. - DG745 (talk) 17:56, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
- That's exactly what I mean. Just a normal character list but it would only list the important and main characters: Griffin staff, Anti-Rain team, 404 Squad, Defy Squad and the Sangvis Ferri ringleaders. Plus Funimation just posted the English voice actors for the anime. FonFon Alseif (talk) 06:49, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
- @FonFon Alseif: I'm pretty sure Squad 404 and Squad DEFY do not appear in the anime yet (if they do, please correct me as I have not actually watched it). I'm sure we could add the voice actors for the anime to the table, but since this table is for the anime, I'm slightly against adding 404 and DEFY for now.
