Image change

[edit]

Someone recently changed the Wikimedia Commons image of the generations to have Generation Alpha start in 2013. It does make sense, if Generation Z ends in 2012. - Sebbog13 (talk) 13:54, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There is no official consensus for when Gen Alpha begins. It says as much in the date range section. The image is prematurely edited. 108.26.228.105 (talk) 17:44, 13 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No it doesnt; it ends in 2010. 206.57.152.111 (talk) 14:18, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
no it beg. in 2010 206.57.152.111 (talk) 14:19, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There isn't an official consensus, but the most frequently cited range for Gen Alpha is 2010-2024. I believe this should be reflected in the article's lede. 108.26.228.105 (talk) 19:33, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to remind everyone that the introduction is not the "lede" (please see MOS:NOTLEDE). Nerd271 (talk) 06:22, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We should probably update the information since some of it goes back to 2017 and 2019. I think on Wikipedia we should have more recent information. Quahog Eater (talk) 07:21, 21 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Figure with greek alphabet

[edit]

What's the point of adding a figure with the greek alphabet? 151.68.228.253 (talk) 16:29, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It makes the generations easier to identify by a codename - OpalYosutebito (talk) 16:34, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
OpalYosutebito, I think you're misunderstanding the question. This is about the graphic with the Greek alphabet below the infobox.
There is no point to it. This has been brought up at least twice before (1, 2), and no argument in favor has been given. I'm going to remove the image. Dan Bloch (talk) 17:17, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok - OpalYosutebito (talk) 17:31, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
