Do Not Delete this page User:14recine

Do not delete what page? The talk page or the article? And why would anybody delete either? --Sfz95 (talk) 23:03, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stop making guesses of when flipnote studio3d will come out — Preceding unsigned comment added by 14recine (talkcontribs) 23:14, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I moved these comments to here, as they were obviously misplaced in the header. -Sforzando (talk) 00:02, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Summer

[edit]

Per WP:SEASON, the article does not need to use summer as a descriptor since Wikipedia is intended for a global audience, and summer is the opposite for readers in the southern hemisphere. - Aoidh (talk) (formerly User:SudoGhost) 17:23, 26 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If we're talking about the NA audience, though, "Summer" would be fine. 99.230.131.134 (talk) 04:29, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not limited to the "NA audience", however, so Summer is not fine for the article, because it's meaning is unnecessarily ambiguous. - Aoidh (talk) 17:00, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I can see the point made. Since Nintendo of America announced a "summer 2013" release date, it seems logical that "Summer" should be used, especially since they didn't clarify a month, date, or quarter in the announcement. SO perhaps Nintendo was being unnecessarily vague hm? - Sforzando (talk) 22:58, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Nintendo of America may use seasonal descriptions, but Wikipedia does not, even when the season reference is unambiguous, such as when a particular location is clearly involved. It's a moot point by now, however, since summer has come and gone and is quite obviously not the North American release date. - Aoidh (talk) 01:06, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, and it's quite obviously frustrating. But that's off-topic. - Sforzando (talk) 23:31, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

pikmin cartoon?

[edit]

There were several animations shown in the announcement for FS3D. What makes the pikmin cartoon important enough to be referenced in the introduction to the page, and what evidence is there that there is an 'upcoming pikmin cartoon' based on this 'mock-up'? I am quite certain of all the information I added in my recent big edit. If there are any elements you question, please use {{Citation needed}} rather than deleting any information. :3 --Sfz95 (talk) 23:03, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Moving the Article

[edit]
The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: page moved via Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests. Aoidh (talk) (formerly User:SudoGhost) 17:45, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Flipnote Studio3DFlipnote Studio 3D – I totally think that this page needs to be moved since there isn't a space between Studio and 3D and I totally think that this is looks more like a mistake name in the editor's page creating. DigiPen92 (talk) 21:46, 26 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"main article?"

[edit]

I think the Main article: Flipnote Studio#Features link under "features" should be removed, especially since there is more detail on this page than on the other page. Input? --Sfz95 (talk) 23:35, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Since nobody cares I'll go ahead and remove it. -Sfz95 (talk) 18:09, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

release date

[edit]

It's TBD. There is nowhere that shows it is coming out in 2013. -Sfz95 (talk) 17:36, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

on the closing of flipnote hatena

[edit]

It doesn't need to be in the introduction in my opinion. The event was more important to the original Flipnote Studio than it is to Flipnote Studio 3D. It ought to be mentioned in the Development section (which I've been meaning to expand and improve) but since Flipnote Hatena was part of Flipnote Studio and not Flipnote Studio 3D, it shouldn't be in the introduction to this article. -Sfz95 (talk) 18:07, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Flipnote or flipnote?

[edit]

When describing an animation or drawing created in Flipnote Studio or Flipnote Studio 3D, is it preferable to capitalize flipnote? I guess the best way would to see how Nintendo does it. Can anyone check this out? -Sfz95 (talk) 18:12, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

From what I can find, Nintendo seems to capitalize Flipnote for Flipnote Studio, I don't see any reason why it would be different for the 3D version. - Aoidh (talk) 03:18, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I looked through the digital manual for Flipnote Studio and Flipnote seems to be capitalized. I know I've seen it the other way in official sources as well but I can't remember exactly where. -Sforzando (talk) 18:53, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
On the official NA website, they are referred to as flipnotes, but they are Flipnotes on the official Nintendo of Europe page (although it almost seems to prefer to refer to them as "creations"). Both ways seem acceptable...I vote it stays Flipnote in the article. --Sforzando (talk) 18:00, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Termination of Flipnote Gallery: Friends

[edit]

When Nintendo disabled the Flipnote Gallery: Friends community service in Japan, does that also affect the North American and European versions of the application?

50.147.168.230 (talk) 15:17, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

...I think I would assume so. If it was a problem in Japan, it would be elsewhere as well. But neither NOA nor NOE has touched their official website for the application. Both of them still discuss FG:F. If I had to guess, I'd say they'll scrub any mention of FG:F from the worldwide release, but that's just speculation. But there's no confirmation either way. - Sforzando (talk) 23:02, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stop Deleting My Addition

[edit]

Every time I try to write about the fan base, someone knocks it down. Please stop that. In many articles for different apps and games, they have a "reception" section which discusses how positively people looked upon it. Because FS3D isn't our, I added the "Fans" section so I could discuss the hype and build up. 99.230.131.134 (talk) 03:25, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Clear empty request on unprotected article. 67.100.127.173 (talk) 18:31, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Please create a new section to a talk page at the bottom of the page, as Wikipedia indicates. However, there have been no references that can be used to create a section about the fan Facebook page. It is, in other words, not notable. - Sforzando (talk) 21:49, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

User:Tezero recently questioned the notability of this page. How do I resolve these issues? Is the best way to add more references/sources from game news websites? -Sforzando (talk) 19:28, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think the notability is really in question honestly, and so I've reverted the tagging. The article's subject certainly meets WP:GNG at minimum. There are sources not in the article[1][2] that also show notability.. - Aoidh (talk) 23:41, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Wonderful, thanks. One of the sources I found (and was planning on adding to the article) had some new info, so I still added that to the article. -Sforzando (talk) 23:03, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Trimming down

[edit]

I have recently made a few edits that have reduced the size of the article quite a bit. I think this removed a lot of unnecessary details and explanations of the self-explanatory, all of which was originally written by me. However, it's possible that I removed some details that it would be better to keep. https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Flipnote_Studio_3D&diff=604500457&oldid=604365824 This diff shows the result of these efforts so far. Did I take too much out? What do you think? -Sforzando (talk) 21:01, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Will this get a real release?

[edit]

Will this app get a real release on the eShop now that Club Nintendo is kaput?
