Jason Turner (figure skater)
[edit]Someone at IP address 75.115.247.29 added back "Jason Turner (figure skater)" as a notable alumni of the class of 1990 but did not include a reference. I removed it again because it lacked any citation. If someone out there insists that Mr. Turner exists and is notable then they should cite a news article or the appropriate yearbook supporting this claim. Baltakatei (talk) 18:54, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
- Again, anonymous (2603:900b:115:e600:65b0:b862:4366:e2b9) added back Jason Turner. I'm removing it again for lack of citation. Baltakatei (talk) 00:16, 27 June 2019 (UTC)
- Anonymous (24.73.88.235) added back "Jason Turner" again but instead claiming that Jason is a "writer for the Hawkeye". A citation was added but it fails to connect "Jason Turner", writer for the Hawkeye, with Farmington High School. The source of the citation is a short biography on hawkeyenews.net of a writer for "The Hawkeye" named Jason Turner who "grew up and went to school in New Mexico.". I added a [failed verification] template to the claim instead of removing the claim as I judge the text "[failed verification]" sufficient warning to readers for now until an editor provides an anonymous source. If the citation is not improved after several months I will remove the claim again. Baltakatei 14:38, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
The listing is not and has never been for a figure skater. see http://farmingtonhighschool.net/farmington-nm/alumni/4594262/jason-turner.html
- It has since 2012-12-18 but the lack of a verifiable reference caused me to remove it on 2018-11-28 when I was reviewing the article. Baltakatei 22:52, 25 July 2019 (UTC)
- I've just added a {{dn}} tag. If this discussion had not been underway, I'd have been tempted to delete the entry myself. Narky Blert (talk) 15:00, 1 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Baltakatei: I've just searched for 'Jason Turner Farmington'. I found absolutely nothing, and have deleted the entry from the article. If it reappears, I suggest a request at WP:RFPP for {{pp-pc}} protection. Narky Blert (talk) 10:36, 2 November 2019 (UTC)
