Talk:Fantasy Empires
Different versions of the game
[edit]The game was released in Octobre 1993 on four 3,5" floppy disks. However in 1994 a CD-ROM version has been released. Both versions were completely tranlated to german. The article here http://www.ibiblio.org/GameBytes/issue19/greviews/fantasy.html claims that the CD-ROM version has been "enhanced" in some ways compared to the floppy disk version. However I own the FD-Version since 1993 and have currently bought the 1994 CD-ROM version (both german language and both version 1.1 of the game) on Ebay and I don´t see any of the differences mentioned in the article. Can someone confirm that there is an "enhanced" CD-ROM version of the game? Was the enhanced version perhaps a later release so that there are different CD-ROM versions? Or is the enhanced version only available in english? ConjurerDragon (talk) 15:16, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
- No idea. If you find a source, please fix. :) 24.148.0.83 (talk) 18:23, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Fantasy Fest!
[edit]Should be added that Fantasy Empires was later part of the "Fantasy Fest!" http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/fantasy-fest/cover-art/gameCoverId,21175/ compilation? ConjurerDragon (talk) 09:59, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
- Sure, why not! And for the articles on those other three games as well. 24.148.0.83 (talk) 01:26, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
CD-ROM Version
[edit]I can confirm that the USA CD-ROM version has these differences, as I have a complete boxed version of the game, which includes a data card detailing the differences. RyanCrierie (talk) 21:18, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- I'm worried that this new section is possibly overdetailed for this article; would it be possible for you to summarize the differences instead? 129.33.19.254 (talk) 21:23, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- Tried summarizing. Does that work? Also; I think I found the cause of the confusion. There are apparently two CD-ROM versions of the game; one with blue tinted disc art, and one with silver tinted disc art, and I have both in my posession. RyanCrierie (talk) 21:56, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- Cool, looks better. :) 129.33.19.254 (talk) 22:09, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

Citation needed?
[edit]Someone added the citation needed remark to a text I added. I found the origial article of the Power Play from 1993 on the web here http://www.kultboy.com/index.php?site=t&id=3262 however I have no idea how to add that as a citation. ConjurerDragon (talk) 18:19, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
