Overall: I think ALT1 is the most interesting of the hooks. In general, looks good to me, but I don't speak Icelandic so I just did my best with the sourcing/copyvio spot checks as listed at the reviewer instructions. It's also only my second DYK review, so requesting a second look. Perfect4th (talk) 13:34, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Providing a second set of eyes, as requested by Perfect4th (congrats on reviewing, BTW). I agree that the article overall looks pretty good. AGF on the Icelandic hooks. I do have qualms about sourcing: why are sfh.is and mp3newswire reliable? A bit more complete formatting would help; I looked up mbl.is, thinking it may have to be included on the questionable list, but see that it redirect to Morgunblaðið (which sets me at ease). @Crisco 1492: I don't speak the language either. I did get some help from Snævar who does. As for the reliability concerns, while sfh.is might seem rudimentary in design, it is, in fact, the official website of Samband flytjenda og hljómplötuframleiðenda (SFH), Iceland's association of performers and record producers. Its use as a source is limited to self-published claims from the organization, which aligns with standard practice for official entities. As for MP3Newswire, the current iteration is indeed unreliable, having changed ownership and lost its credibility. However, during its peak in the 2000s, it was quite respected source for news and analysis on MP3 technology, digital music trends, and portable audio devices. I’ve added some missing information to several of the citations and will continue to do so once WebArchive is back up. --Muhandes (talk) 07:28, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Muhandes. Given that MP3 Newswire is cited for the hook fact, and the question of its reliability, it would be best to see if that information can be supported by another reference. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 10:04, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
