National Energy Efficiency Action Plans

[edit]

The National Energy Efficiency Action Plan plans offer an opportunity to compare the national energy efficiency measures in the European countries and review the actual national achievements compared to the targets.

I point out that an ambitious plan can be more difficult to achieve but setting a high target may promote to have more resources and better implementation for it and pursue to higher energy efficiency as a result. The evaluation of the national achievements should include both quantitative and qualitative analysis. In short, I try to emphasize that the goal is not simply to draw up a plan that is easy and safe to fulfil since the evaluation is based not only in this but more in the actual energy efficiency achievements and the way of implementation. Article rename, appended "(study)"

[edit]

I just moved this article to Energy efficiency in Europe (study) (was Energy efficiency in Europe) because the article is not about energy efficiency in Europe generically. Indeed that more encompassing article is missing. The incoming links have been duly amended. I trust everyone will be happy with this renaming. Best wishes. Proposed deletion

[edit]

I've removed the prod from this page, but the title does not make a lot of sense to me. The article does not appear to be about a particular study, but about the Odyssee project. Or at least some aspects of it. The Odyssee data is used and discussed in numerous research papers, so it is at least important and arguably notable. This needs a proper review at AfD before any deletion. Even if not kept as a standalone, there are WP:ATD for this one such as a merge to Energy policy of the European Union. I did consider the atd of merging, but the article is too outdated to be usefully merged, and the redirect an implausible one. The study is definitely non-notable, but the Odysee project may indeed be. With a lot of the text more about background rather than about this particular study, I'm not sure I agree that it's about Odysee already. It'll require some work to change the topic. Happy for a rename and refocus / cutting of trivia though. Femke (talk) 11:01, 16 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's previous name (without the unnecessary disambiguator) is not so unlikely, and if it is merged, the history of the original page needs to be retained somewhere. SpinningSpark 14:55, 16 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
