American Bandstand Restaurants
[edit]Why is there no mention of Dick Clark Productions ownership of the American Bandstand restaurants, it was quite a large business division for the company. YborCityJohn (talk) 00:00, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

Dick Clark Productions → MRC Live & Alternative – Dick Clark Productions has been officially rebranded under the parent company MRC. I propose this page be rebranded as well without ignoring the history of DCP. Cytkory (talk) 05:24, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
- Skeptical: Wikipedia does not provide assistance for rebranding campaigns. It only recognizes the WP:COMMONNAME used in independent reliable sources. Since the provided rationale does not include any commentary about commonality of usage in independent reliable sources, it has no clear relevance. — BarrelProof (talk) 17:29, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose for historical and recognizability reasons. Perhaps a split is in order, as this is a case more of DCP being "sunsetted" and a new brand taking its place, rather than a natural change in name. -- Netoholic @ 17:34, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. Dick Clark Productions is the WP:COMMONNAME used in independent reliable sources and the name just has a long history and more recognizability than the new title MRC Live & Alternative. I agree with Netoholic that this may be a time for a split, but I will leave that decision up to editors who are more familiar in this area. Aoba47 (talk) 03:58, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
