– Currently, Demon Slayer defaults to the "shogi" (game similar to chess) board game move. This page has a daily average of 183 whereas Demon Slayer "Kimetsu no Yaiba" has 13800+ daily views. There should be a hatnote on the new Demon Slayer article. OR the "Demon Slayer" search should redirect to Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. I'm thinking of making a disambuation page for Demon Slayer because there is a famous film, an anime TV series, and the comic books. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train is the famous 2020 film, and an upcoming video game is being released.
A disambiguation page can locate the board game move, the comic books, the anime series, and the popular film, so users can search appropriately.
Currently, the comic books and anime TV series are grouped into one article while the movie is another one. Marty2Hotty (talk) 14:22, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- Move to Demon Slayer (shogi), and make dab at Demon Slayer. 162 etc. (talk) 14:51, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- Support 1st (well, move it to Demon Slayer (shogi)), but oppose 2nd. I'd agree and say the wisest move would be to Create a disambiguation page at the basename of "Demon Slayer". Checkmate! Paintspot Infez (talk) 16:36, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- Strong support 1st but per above a DAB might be best since the chess meaning is likely to be primary by PT#2. Crouch, Swale (talk) 16:45, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- Comment: @Crouch, Swale: Hey, different question, but would I need permission to separate the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba articles into "(anime)" and "(manga)" or would I need to discuss that first?. It may need to be similar to the Dragon Ball disambiguation page: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Dragon_Ball_(disambiguation) Marty2Hotty (talk) 01:28, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
- I don't have a strong opinion but WP:SUBTITLE would suggest to keep the current title per WP:NATURAL. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:54, 15 June 2021 (UTC)

- Move 1st to Demon Slayer (shogi), oppose 2nd - Disambiguate both and leave a DAB page at primary. -- Netoholic @ 17:36, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- Support 1st, oppose 2nd make DAB at base name.--Ortizesp (talk) 21:25, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- Support 1st to Demon Slayer (shogi), oppose 2nd I agree that Demon Slayer will probably be better suited as a disambiguation page. I also Oppose splitting the anime from the manga because plain and simply there isn't enough about the adaptation specifically to warrant a split. Link20XX (talk) 02:45, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
- Comment: @Link20XX: Good point and I agree, but in time, I think there will be enough content due to it being in its infancy. I guess on the DAB page, we can link to the anime section of the franchise article for those looking for it. Marty2Hotty (talk) 23:55, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
- Support both, including first to Demon Slayer (shoji). DAB page unnecessary. The anime/manga is the obvious WP:PRIMARYTOPIC here as evidenced by pageview stats raised by the nominator and a cursory Google News glance. Satellizer el Bridget (Talk) 05:28, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
- Support 1st, oppose 2nd, because of localization and those in the Asian-speaking regions; however, it would be ok to do a DAB page, and the title of the Demon Slayer would add a (novel series), while the anime should keep it as the subtitle as it is.TVSGuy (talk) 06:04, 19 June 2021 (UTC)
- @TVSGuy: I don't think Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba should be moved. For one, the TV series and manga series don't have separate articles (they share one), and per WP:NATURALDAB, since this is the official name extended, it should be used over a disambiguation (and (manga) is the default disambiguation per MOS:A&M anyway). Link20XX (talk) 03:10, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Link20XX: Understand; leave the title as it is, while Demon Slayer would need a DAB page if necessary. TVSGuy (talk) 15:41, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
