Game Engine

[edit]

Something wrong here. The "Reality Engine" was a software, not hardware platform. Also, Ultra 64 was the planned name for the Nintendo 64 system in the US before being changed to Nintendo 64, so that the system would have one name worldwide. And guess what the project name for the N64 was -- Project Reality.

I believe this arcade does run on the N64 based hardware and the original article editor just got the information backwards. I will have to dig up sources, though. 67.181.44.252 (talk) 15:15, 31 March 2008

Limitations

[edit]

I remember some limits in the arcade version.

  1. You had sixty seconds to choose your car and it was hard to do so when you had to choose it with the steering wheel.
  2. You also had sixty seconds to put your initials in, also made difficult by the steering wheel. I often ended up as AAA. 24.4.131.142 21:22, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the Gameplay section, it says you race down "one-way" streets, but then it says that you're avoiding "oncoming traffic". So which was it? 149.135.121.189 (talk) 00:38, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Arcade multiplayer

[edit]

The arcade game had a network multiplayer option, with two or more cabinets side by side. Bizzybody (talk) 09:05, 9 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Year Released

[edit]

I seem to remember playing this in the arcade in 1987. Maybe this is a different game? 173.225.52.131 (talk) 19:17, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
