Communications Over Various Feeds Electronically for Engagement ActCOVFEFE Act – Per WP:CONCISE this is a shorter title that still gets across the critical point. Also most sources refer to it by its shortened name, and the point of the act was to be a riff on Trump's "covfefe" tweet - thus per WP:COMMONNAME the acronym'd title is more easily recognizable. Covfefe Act

[edit]

This is the title of a proposed bill [1]. That said, proposed bills are not inherently notable. This is almost certainly a media ploy that has no chance of becoming law, much like the earlier MAR-A-LAGO Act [2]. Power~enwiki (talk) 22:48, 13 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

So what happened to this proposed act ? Did it die without enactment ? Or is it still around ? -- Beardo (talk) 20:40, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Beardo: I couldn't find any coverage after the event except for this [3] which merely notes that the bill has gone nowhere. It seems the bill didn't even escape committee. Makes one wonder if this article is notable any longer? It is currently covered at Donald_Trump_on_social_media#"Covfefe", I'm not sure if this bill has the enduring coverage for its own article. A google whistleblower came out and claims that google removed this word from their translations to manipulate Trump's tweets. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:642:4100:A847:54FE:BC97:1E53:CD2F (talk) 08:52, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The only source I could find that covered this was the "Daily Caller", which per this RFC is not a reliable source and should not be used. Captain Eek Edits Ho Cap'n! 19:38, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

And it's not a joke or a prank or fake news?

Because every law passed by Congress, or by the legislature of any state, or by any county board of commissioners or city assembly, is passed for the punishment of men into compliance with every jot and tittle of it, and for the fines and prison sentences that may be imposed thereunder.
