[edit]In response to commetary at Dan Donovan I've created two working drafts of new articles here. Please check these against what you know and leave commentary at either Dan Donovan or my talk page. Thanks much! Dan, the CowMan 04:37, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

Can you add some context to the "culo del mundo" affirmation in the Moa article? (Or remove the comment altogether) As it it now it hardly seems encyclopedic... Qyd (talk)04:14, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
- No, never made it past Marti. But I heard talk about Moa. Is it true that Sherritt sold its intrests in Moa to a chinese company? (this rumour circulated last autumn). Other places that would qualify for the description would be the red earth woods in Casillo, or the mosquito infested swamps in Majaguillar... That would be in Cuba, in the wide world, I'm sure there's far worse places. Qyd (talk)16:59, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
About the Sherrit Bussines it's just a rumour here in Cuba, and I think it will be just that, no official talk about that... about the "culo del mundo" thats an offensive expresion here in Cuba and is common to call that way at any small rural town in Cuba, but is only used in an offensive way. I live in Holguín, ask me anything u wanna know KatKiller 07:54, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

History Of Violence
[edit]- I've since watched the film again. What strikes me is the contrast between the film's violent scenes and all those outside of it (I'm including the pseudo-rape on the stairway with "violent scenes"). Maybe I'm not used to watching candid small-town folk interact, but the reality of the intensely violent scenes (and even their dialogue) contrasts massively between everything else. You mentioned "mythic" - could you extrapolate on that?

Cuban matters
[edit]Hi Beardo
- A Fresa y chocolate page is essential, Beardo. I can't believe it's taken that long to for wikipedia to get round to it! It would also complement a minor tussle I'm having on the Gay rights in Cuba page which I felt wasn't up to date or accurate on first viewing.
- I think I replied on the Central Bank of Cuba page on that topic, feel free to start a banking in Cuba page.
- I wouldn't worry about the El Benny article - as long as it's NPOV. But be prepared for a battle with the deletionists. I've had to rescue a few of these from those who believe non-English speaking movies are not important. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Clase Z "Tropical".
- I understand your points concerning the allegations of tourist apartheid in Cuba. I had to fight to get it to "tourist apartheid", it actually read simply "apartheid in Cuba" at first which was even worse! I think it was set up after a dispute over "Israeli apartheid" - anything that anyone could find that was described as "apartheid" somewhere got a page.--Zleitzen 03:22, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Z - you were up late if you're in the UK.
- Sorry - I'd missed your response on banking. Yes, I am sure that the National Bank deserves a page.
- El Benny - maybe I'll start with the director and star. (The star just won an award at Locarno Film Festival - so perhaps he'll be our first article on an actor who is still in Cuba. (Though Jorge Perugorria deserves one, too.)) Of course, short films tend to have a harder time than full-length features.
- btw - a number of geographical pages have links to a Spanish language site www.guije.com. This seems to be referring to a pre-1976 (possibly pre-1959) status. I wonder how best to dscribe that.

[edit]Thanks for changing those damn film director categories that I messed up, I'm an idiot with practical matters as you may have noticed. As for staying up late - put it down to an erratic sleep pattern, a very demanding 6 month old bairn (and the other 3 monsters), and a welcome extended break from this place [1] with no work commitments other than to check emails! Allegations of tourist apartheid
[edit]I don't know who rattled the anon's cage on that talk page! But there is an element of practicality about the comments in the sense of this: Having added the POV template, which is perfectly acceptable, you really would need to offer suggestions on how to make the page NPOV. I understand entirely why you believe the page to be POV, but how do you propose to change this?--Zleitzen 09:05, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

Madagascar and Other Cuban Films - Reply
[edit]Hi Beardo. Thanks for the welcome. I replied to you on my talk page before I could figure out how to navigate to yours. In response to your question, I think I will try to edit a couple of more pages on the particular Cuban films that I think have not received sufficient critical/public attention. I did a whole bunch of writing and research and interviews on this stuff as an undergraduate and am happy to find a place to publicize some of it. In particular, I'm planning to refine some of the Madagascar entry (add some links and stuff), add some stuff on Enrique Colina, and generally look through the piles of essays i've got sitting around in my hard-drive to see what else might be useful/interesting.
oh, and you're right. i certainly did not mean to flag that as a minor edit...newbie screw up. Aaronshaw 22:30, 9 September 2006 (UTC) [[2]]
Question about the whole original research thing
[edit]So, I cited the two relevant sources for the vast majority of the stuff I put up on the Madagascar page. There are still a couple of details that I learned from a personal interview with the director, though. I could cut them, but am not really distressed to have them in the public domain...I'm sure they showed up in an interview in a Cuban newspaper at some point in the early 90's. However, I also don't want to evade the GFDL or Wikipedia's requirements in any way...
what would you recommend?Aaronshaw 04:38, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Cuban actors
[edit]Hi Beardo, when writing up a new piece on a Cuban actor - could you add the name to the List of Cubans page under the appropriate headings, that page needs beefing up. Thanks.--Zleitzen 16:09, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Re:List of Cubans. I had a go at moving obvious Cuban-Americans to the List of Cuban-Americans - these were people that were either born in the US, or had relocated so long ago at such a young age that they had made no impact on Cuban life, their careers were synonomous with the US. I maybe wrong. Beyond that I don't know and I don't feel like I'm a good enough judge to make the call, especially with the baseball players as I know nothing about that sporting culture. The occupations sections do need further sorting out. But it's a tedious task.--Zleitzen 22:26, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Mirta Diza-Balart in Cuba
[edit]Was just browsing through and looked this over.
Yes, this is true, as I have myself been relayed this information from family sources however, I think it would be rather difficult to provide citations as, Mirta's family is very hush-hush on this subject. She returned recently to be with Fidelito. I found it VERY interesting. Would never have guessed.

Re; Bravedog (talk · contribs) and The Apprentice
[edit]It's not immediately apparent whether WP:RM is policy, guideline, or something else, but it's definitely bad form to unilaterally move a page like The Apprentice without discussion. The wording of my warning to him was not my own but that of {{MP3}}, a standard warning template for just such an occaision. Perhaps it is a bit too harsh in tone, but it does appear that he was attempting to promote "his" article over the original by redirecting the page to The Apprentice (UK). -Anþony 10:40, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Good work Beardo. Whenever I've tried to ask for protection, its been like pulling teeth. I have no idea why the Cuba page was semi-protected for so long before - nearly 6 months. Regardless of how noble some users believe the policy of allowing unregistered users to edit articles is, it successfully reduced stress levels to near zero, and allowed the page to improve gradually and organically for the better. [edit]Did I dream it, or did I read somewhere that you wrote that Cesar Romero was descended from Jose Marti?--Zleitzen 04:20, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- Indeed yes - see http://www.historyofcuba.com/history/funfacts/CesarRom.htm . It is mentioned in both the Cesar Romero and José Martí articles. As part of the 150th (?) anniversary celebrations, two ladies came to Cuba to visit, who were described as descendants of Marti through his daughter, without questioning - though it seems there is no confirmation that she was his. Oddly http://www.cubanow.net/global/loader.php?secc=5&cont=stories/num11/01.htm describes them as Romero's daughters - but our article indicates that he was a confirmed bachelor. Perhaps they were his nieces ? -- Beardo 04:34, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
Beardo:
There is an article (circa 1950s) in Bohemia on Cesar Romero in which this was accepted. What one would like to see is a DNA analysis of Marti's genome. From memory there seems to be an inference that Marti's family was from Majorca and the last name is included among the "San Benito" (e.g. of Jewish descent). One wonders if he had Cohenim sequences El Jigue 1-2-07
Founder vs co-founder
[edit]Doesn't founder seem to imply sole founder? I suppose it is more middle ground to say founder than co-founder, but it still has its own implications. I guess there's also "a founder", but I don't know if that's any better since it makes the implication he might not be the only one. Owen 11:51, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Can you prove what you're saying? If so, your observations are quite valuable. We're told that night-club bouncers in Cuba systematically block entrance to Cuban nationals - but do they ask for passports? Fabio Grobart
[edit]A mayor éminence gris of Cuban history is best known as Fabio Grobart (although his original name is Polish). His importance in founding the Cuban (Stalinist) communist party is/was(:>) recognized by Fidel Castro:
Castro, F. 1965 (accessed 1-9-07) Pursc Central Committ Presentation, Havana's Chaplin Theater -Havana Domestic Radio - Speech Report_Nbr- Fbis - Date- 19651004 -Text- Castro Refers To Cuban Refugees, Guevara {http://lanic.utexas.edu/la/cb/cuba/castro/1965/19651004],
the Rand thinktank [www.rand.org/pubs/research_memoranda/2006/RM4994.pdf],
and Jewish History experts: Asís, Moisés 2000 (accessed 1-8-07) Judaism in Cuba 1959-1999 ICCAS Occasional Paper Series, http://www6.miami.edu/iccas/AsisJUDAISMCUBA-New.pdf. “By 1925, there were 8,000 Jews in Cuba (some 2,700 sephardic, 5,200 ashkenazic, and 100 Americans). Four ashkenazic Jews were in the small group that founded the first Communist Party of Cuba in 1925: Grimberg, Vasserman, Simjovich aka Grobart, and Gurbich. They opposed the religious and community life of the other Jews.”
Evidence has been presented to link Grobart to the Leon Trotsky assassination, and less strong evidence to the Julio Antonio Mella assassination.
Although the party Grobart helped found was not the first Cuban communist party, it is considered as such by the present Cuban government.
His son(?) Fabio Grobart Sunshine has a number of publications and is highly placed among the Cuban Nomenclatura.
I am preparing a major footnote in my book on Grobart and I am will to share some (but not all (:>) citations) to this major figure in Cuban history. Since you are in Cuba I thought maybe you could inform me or maybe you could make an article on it? [edit]I notice that you have moved Meissen to the controversial section of WP:RM. I left the following comment to support that it is not so and was a move done in error (I have changed some of it with clarifications):
- There was no consensus for a move to Meißen nine months ago (that cannot be applied to a restorative move to Meissen since using the non-consensus only rationalizes the "argument" that the move to Meißen is wrong). Also, this current move to Meißen is erroneously attributed to a convention. The use of Meissen in English is dominate and if anything, suggesting that a restoration from a move in error is controversial is itself controversial :P If the opposite were the case (moving Meissen to Meißen), that would not be supported by any of Wikipedia's conventions, not even the current conventions for German place names.
In summary:
- The Meissen → Meißen request nine months ago did not occur because there was no consensus
- The Meissen → Meißen move occured recently but is not supported by any cited convention
- The Meißen → Meissen request cannot surely be argued against on the basis of a failed move request of Meissen → Meißen when the current request is restorative and non-controversial in that Meissen is the dominate English usage.
- And indeed, the argument that the non-consensus outcome of Meissen → Meißen nine months ago precludes a restorative move of Meißen → Meissen makes no sense: Meissen → Meißen should not have occurred anyway if that was the case :P
Cheers! Charles 01:46, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- Conversely, the present move was done with no discussion and is not supported by any convention. A restorative move is in order. If it had still been an issue, it would have continued to be discussed. Controversiality cannot be said to have permanence. Charles 02:00, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
Currency Image:Cuban 3 peso note.gif
[edit]Hi, To assist global anti-counterfeiting efforts you may wish to consider marking images of banknotes you upload as "Specimen" in some way, if those banknotes represent legal tender.ShakespeareFan00 17:53, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your note. The image came from the Cuban Central Bank's website, so I guess they aren't worried about forgeries. The image quality is not really good enough to copy, and anyway 3 pesos are worth about 13.5 cents US money, so it would probably cost more to forge one than it is worth. -- Beardo 02:48, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Redirect of Ahmed Shah (Hockey)
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Ahmed Shah (Hockey), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Ahmed Shah (Hockey) is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Ahmed Shah (Hockey), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. rear admiral and/or Rear Admiral, but Rear admiral?
[edit]I posted the following on the talk page, but as yet have had no response. Perhaps you can explain it to me?
- I've read the above discussions with interest, and I can understand how it could be titled "rear admiral" or "Rear Admiral", but I can not understand how the above discussion resulted in "Rear admiral". The most quoted example is "Rear Admiral X is a rear admiral". "Rear admiral X is a Rear admiral" was never justified, or even advocated, yet that's what the article ended up being called. Can someone explain this to me please? Pdfpdf 14:32, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ranger-26-03-66.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Ranger-26-03-66.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:03, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Notability of Lucy Russell (actress)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Lucy Russell (actress) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. PamD (talk) 13:38, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi. I've altered your "merge" template so that when you click "discuss" it takes you to his talk page where we have already posted, rather than the "honeymoon murders" talk page. I was inclined just to do the redirect, but I checked with the closing admin from the AfD and was advised to post on the talk page and give it a week to see if there were any objections. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 09:05, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
I've changed the redirect back to Hurricane Gustav (2008). Among other things, Wikipedia should follow the "principle of least astonishment". 99% of readers typing "Hurricane Gustav" into the search box want information on the hurricane that is happening now. Let's send them directly to that article, not force them to click again, after scanning down a disambiguation page.
In October or November, assuming that this Hurricane Gustav doesn't become as famous as the 2005 Hurricane Katrina, then I have much less objection to changing the redirect back, to point to the disambiguation page. But at the moment I have a very strong opinion that we should not punish readers by forcing them into disambiguation pages out of some sense of fairness for a bunch of Wikipedia articles, or a desire to give equality to all hurricanes named Gustav. (You might take a look at WP:DAB, which says that the most important things get treated differently than less important things.) -- John Broughton (♫♫) 23:29, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Rosie Vela
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Rosie Vela, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. -- Jeandré, 2008-10-04t09:22z 09:22, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Cuban cuisine question
[edit]Sorry if I was a bit snippy in the edit summary - I hadn't read yours at the time. Potaje can be pretty much any Cuban or Spanish soup that includes potatoes as a major ingredient, while sopa is Spanish for the more general "soup". Cuban housing
[edit]Re Culture of Cuba#housing: Can you give a reference source to support the present version? (for example, a reference to the present Cuban law on property). Can you clarify what 'owns' means in this context? For example, in some countries there is a distinction between freehold and leasehold ownership. Although space is at a premium in these overview articles, the topic deserves a slightly fuller treatment than it has at present. Macdonald-ross (talk) 09:10, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
Andrea Marino vs Moreno
[edit]I do not know your the reason for changing Moreno to Marino, but I presume because the name "Marino" was used once in one of the episode. However I put the source in (a book written by the producers Ian Sander and Kim Moses), because it officially stated "Moreno" in all parts of the book. If you change that, that would make the reference I put in as incorrect, therefore please change to the reference that says her name is "Marino". I am done with reverting this (it was several times changed and reverted), so I'll leave the others to decide. Please see the talk page. w.tanoto-soegiri (talk) 08:53, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
- Forgive me for blaming you too early. Very rude of me. just checked the edit history and it was not you who changed it to Marino in the first place. I noted that you changed "Andrea Marino" article redirect. However a help would be appreciated to decide whether to use Marino or Moreno. Apologiesw.tanoto-soegiri (talk) 08:58, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
- Please ignore my earlier message. I found a solution. The problem is that in the episodes, it uses Marino, while in writings such as book and internet, it uses Moreno. w.tanoto-soegiri (talk) 09:11, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

re your article American Prayer (song)
[edit]I had the article you created, American Prayer (song), merged into American Prayer (Bono song). It appears that you accidentally created an article on the same subject using a slightly less disambiguated title. The other article is about a year older and even before i edited it it was larger. Also as there is a Jim Morrison song & album that while not exactly of the same title is commonly known by the same title the disambiguation to the principle songwriter is done. If you have anything more to add please do. Your previous edits are retained in the history of the merged article. [edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

Virginia Poe
[edit]Hi there! I removed a fact tag you added to Virginia Eliza Clemm Poe because a source has already been provided (not in the lede where it was tagged, but in the main part of the article). I see your point, however, that "Ligeia" was published a bit early for it to be heavily influenced by a then-healthy Virginia. I suppose one could argue that the frequent revisions and republications, including the addition of the poem "The Conqueror Worm" were influenced by her illness. With that said, however, I would not oppose its removal from the article as an example. --Midnightdreary (talk) 11:08, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ron Watts (music)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Ron Watts (music), requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. (See section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Wikipedia has standards for the minimum necessary information to be included in short articles; you can see these at Wikipedia:Stub. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Eastlaw talk ⁄ contribs 11:03, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
A belated answer
[edit]Do you remember asking this [7]?
I have an answer for you but it may be disappointing. I visited the Piscina Mirabilis last week while on holiday in Campania, and my guide convinced me that it was never a cistern in the first place. In his view, it is much more likely that the vast concrete pillars that are the most prominent feature are nothing more than foundations for a villa, or an extension to a villa. The place is very hilly, and anyone with enough money and grand ambitions for his villa might well have resorted to such construction. The pillars seem far too massive if all they had to do was support a roof.
So far as my guide and I are aware, there is no reference to such a cistern in any contemporary sources; apparently the name was coined in the C18th. Certainly there are several holes at the top of the uphill side that could have admitted water from an aqueduct, but the course of the Aqua Augusta has never been traced. Equally, there is a hole in the middle of the bottom of the opposite wall that could have been an outlet, but there's no evidence that it was - no pipes or channels to a castellum aquae. In my view, one of the most damning facts - I'm sorry now I didn't take a photo, but I was short of space on my camera's memory card - is that the supposed outlet is right at the bottom of the wall, not some way up as it should be for a cistern that would be expected to function as a settling tank. Finally, there is, I was told, another similar structure not very far away on the other side of the hill.
I'm sure that such a large, dark, cool space would have been a useful storage space for the inhabitants of the villa above, but I have seen no convincing evidence it was ever a cistern. I'm keen to get to the bottom of this and update the article accordingly, but right now I'm struggling to find suitable sources. Philip Trueman (talk) 15:48, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
- of course it was a cistern. The waterproof cement used everywhere and the architecture is identical to Roman cisterns elsewhere. Hope that guide is not still spreading fake news.Rjdeadly (talk) 08:29, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

In re: the Luke Rhinehart title change (move) to George Cockroft
[edit]The referenced earlier discussion is in that talk section, dated in 2011. It was just never acted upon. With those two discussing editors, and my vote, there are three in favour (at least). But as an unregistered editor, per Jimmy, while I have a voice, I haven't the right to take the action. Please do, thanks. 2601:246:C700:9B0:882C:FD18:E946:D29E (talk) 04:30, 23 November 2019 (UTC)
Progressive rock/symphonic rock
[edit]I will assume good faith on your part with regard to your recent edits. However, the symphonic rock article was deleted a long time ago as lacking reliable sources to qualify as either a separate genre or sub-genre from progressive rock. The progressive rock article is a GA reviewed article, so please don't make unsourced changes to definitions without sources and discussion. Thanks. Rodericksilly (talk) 00:28, 29 November 2019 (UTC)

Links to disambiguation pages
[edit]Hi, Beardo. Please don't make edits like this. The link to the redirect is intentional, in accordance with WP:D#HOWTODAB, and assists in identifying links to disambiguation pages that should be excluded from maintenance reports. Thanks! --R'n'B (call me Russ) 13:45, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

Neil Young template
[edit]If we're going by the discog page, Rust Never Sleeps should be categorized as a studio album as well as Life, no? The attributes of the two (all new material, mostly live with two studio tracks) are quite similar. Personally, I'm still of the mind that each is a live album simply because greater than half of their content was performed live, but I'm interested to hear your thoughts. 24JGM (talk) 01:07, 23 June 2021 (UTC)

The article D. C. Thomson (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Disambiguation page is not required: David Couper Thomson is linked in the lead of DC Thomson
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
The article Ben Gunn (guitarist) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
