This article states the Japanese release date as a vague November 1994 based on a western magazine article that feels somewhat anecdotal. The Saturn was released in Japan on November 22 1994, the Wikipedia article for the Saturn states, with sources, that Clockwork Knight wasn't a launch title. Additionally Sega Retro specifies the Japanese release as December 9th 1994 with an archival link to an official Sega webpage.
