usually suburban setting?

[edit]

i dont think that is right... the locations are very varied, industrial, rural, beaches, big city..

You're right, the locations are varied. I remeber there are 2 cities, a desert town, a snowy mountain town, some kind of industrial complex and one that was basically a huge mine shaft.

Funny, but not true

[edit]

In many countries (including Germany and, for a short time, the UK), the game, when released, contained zombies or robots instead of people, as running over the undead was considered more acceptable by their respective ratings boards. Many zombie and semi-dead rights groups were outraged by this feature and fought to have the original content put back into the game. Unofficial "blood patches" were rapidly released by members of the community to replace the zombie graphics and sound with the more gory versions. An official patch followed, once SCi won a high-court case against the BBFC, causing the ban to be lifted.

Acquiring this Software

[edit]

Any comments on current sales or distribution channels (or the confirmed lack thereof) for this software would be helpful. —Preceding unsigned comment added by HumanJHawkins (talkcontribs) 14:50, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You can get it only by "abandonware" sites, and P2P network - not the most legal way for this great game 195.205.193.228 (talk) 19:36, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Possible Carma 4 Developers?

[edit]

A quick Edge online article, stating a company was working on Carma4 before everything fell down: http://www.edge-online.com/news/source-new-carmageddon-killed-off JaffaCakeLover (talk) 22:42, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

N64 version

[edit]

The page mentions Carmageddon 64 as a port AND as a sequel, so which one is it? I would say it was just a port of Carmageddon 2. 78.150.211.120 (talk) 12:03, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Split proposal

[edit]

There's a lot of content on this page that relates to the whole series, not just the first game: Maybe it's time for a series page? JaffaCakeLover (talk) 17:37, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

I don't think we need a split. This page was fine about the Series and another page about Each game (more information) 85.220.100.147 (talk) 22:29, 29 March 2011 (UTC) (Mundano Fan 01)[reply]

the pc version had dos and windows versions on the same cd

[edit]

therefore the thing about it being ported to windows might be wrong since it seems to have been developed for both systems at the same time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.208.86.142 (talk) 20:53, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Carmageddon currently involves the LA highway closure. Should there be a disambiguation link?--161.7.86.240 (talk) 22:06, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Donations are not just through the Kickstarter program

[edit]

Apparently no one bothered to do their research as usual, but SCI developers are currently accepting donations through their website..once their Kickstarter goal had been reached. When the Kickstarter goal was reached, it stopped accepting donations. Donations are now through SCI main website. Majinsnake (talk) 05:16, 30 August 2012 (UTC)majinsnake[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Carmageddon. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
