Available on most digital cable sytems is at least a little inaccurate (if not completely inaccurate), or at least a widely disputed claim that's not NPOV. Here is an (admittedly unverifiable) quote from [1]:

As for the issue on Boomerang, all those who are concerned about where to get it are 100% right. Boomerang, quite frankly, isn't even available in the U.S at all. I'm serious. The only cable providers that provide this are AuStar and Foxtel and guess where you can find that? Australia!!

Now that was a little while ago, but I know I don't see Boomerang on my (Comcast) digital cable lineup and never have. Though the above may be an exaggeration, its availability may be largely limited to satellite services. I've seen it on Time Warner Cable lineups, but, well, you know where the wheels are greased there. Morgan Wick 08:28, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

I agree. We need to find out what broadcasters offer it as an actual "channel" I get it on DirecTV, but it isn't noted. Gamloverks (talk) 17:09, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Image:Minilogoboomerang.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. I just looked, there is no channel 182 it's only on demand. I have every channel, and it's not there. I'm actually dissapointed, I wish they had it still, I love the old shows. :(. Fresh Prince Carlton —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.232.180.227 (talk) 21:28, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Rerun channel

Has Boomerang ever aired first-run programs?

Is there a designation for channels, such as NickToons, TV Land, Biography, and SoapNet, which primarily air reruns?

--207.255.199.12 (talk) 19:50, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm going to be bold and merge Boomerang around the world here. Normally I'd discuss first, but this is a pretty clearcut case of a fork that needs to be merged back in; they cover the same info, and this page is not long at all. There's also some FU images with rationales only for this article. I'm leaving the talk page of Boomerang around the world intact at Talk:Boomerang around the world. If there's any problem with this merge definitely let me know and we'll figure something out. delldot ∇. 23:33, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Powerpuff rut

I know this is beyond trivial but it has for some reason been weighing on my mind for years... between the various programs Boomrang will show an advertisement announcing that "after ten years on the Cartoon network" Boomerang will be bringing the Powerpuff Girls to it's channel. The Girls have been on Boomerang for AT LEAST seven years and yet they continue to show this ad. It's reall not a big deal but you would think that someone at Turner would have noticed this redundancy. Jackbox1971 (talk) 22:59, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

Edit request

Please remove "In October 2014, Boomerang will unify international feeds under one branding, comparable to when the network first launched." There is no source (including the sources cited in the article) saying that. Thank you. 41.86.7.226 (talk) 01:49, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Boomerang original series

Cartoon Network and other networks will still produce their own material, but Boomerang has none of it's original shows!! Why can't Boomerang have its own original shows too?! Maybe soon, Turner Broadcasting System will also think of a right idea for Cartoon Network's Boomerang to start producing their own material, just like they did to Cartoon Network. Maybe sometime in 2013, Boomerang will have its first original fully-produced series.

Actually, Boomerang is more likely to have original shows now that they're rebranding. It was even brought up in Turner's press release. ElectricBurst(Is there anything you need of me?) 00:21, 21 November 2014 (UTC)

Has Boomerang really rebranded in the U.S. on 1/19?

Well, the page has been edited to show Boomerang's new logo in the main infobox, but I couldn't find evidence on the quote-unquote "official" website that reflects this, nor does LocateTV show the new logo on their listings page for the channel. I am in doubt here. I don't get Boomerang on cable in my area, so can anybody help me out here? ElectricBurst(Electron firings)(Zaps) 15:52, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

Unsourced international content

In these edits [2][3] I've removed the large, poorly placed, unsourced, and flag-laden list of international broadcasters. This contravenes a few guidelines and policies: 1) The content doesn't meet WP:V. There's no presumption that any of those dates are accurate. How does one verify that Estonia started broadcasting Boomerang on June 5, 2005, exactly? 2) Some of this content already exists in the form of prose in the article, making the table redundant. 3) Generally speaking, we're only interested in coverage in English-speaking nations, per WP:TVINTL. 4) The article isn't a flag store; we don't need every nation's flag in a table when prose will suffice. For these reasons, I have cut the content. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:51, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

Proposed merge from Boomerang (EMEA) to this article.

Boomerang (EMEA) has no sources. There is no indication of why this child network deserves its own article. The network's history, if it were sourced, could be concisely presented in the main Boomerang article, which it appears has already been done. The remainder of the article is an unsourced, gratuitous list of programs, most of which are reruns of content on the main Boomerang, as opposed to uniquely created content that might be deserving of mention. Unknown status of a possible future feature to the network's app

This edit adds the claim: "It is also currently unknown if Boomerang will have a similiar feature of the offline download-to-go like what Netflix has."[4]

The source is an answer to a question posted to the channel's support site, "Can I download episodes from Boomerang to view when I am offline?" the answer is, essentially, no but they're working on it.

First of all, it is not "currently unknown". You do not know.

Next, that a feature does not exist is rarely, if ever, encyclopedic. (For example, the vast majority of cars are not available as rechargeable hybrids. Those that are, we mention. Those that aren't, we generally don't.) If Boomerang not having downloadable content is worth mentioning, independent reliable sources will discuss it. An answer on the support page discussing an app connected to the channel is trivial.

Finally, "similiar [sic] feature of the offline download-to-go like what Netflix has" is a mess. Nothing here compares the possible future option to anything Netflix offers. Boomerang does not offer downloading shows for offline viewing. Someone on their support site says they are "working on" adding this "soon". According to every other question about a feature they don't have, they are working on adding those soon too (Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, PS4, Xbox, streaming the network, Spanish, outside the U.S., etc.). (It is unknown if they are working on a rechargeable hybrid, because no one has asked yet.) - SummerPhDv2.0 18:10, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
