Citation needed for the jobs listed under the characters section for Bandit and Chili. Wolphren (talk) 10:58, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
- There is a reference provided at the end of the sentence; "Bluey set to nuzzle her way into the hearts of Aussie preschoolers this October". SatDis (talk) 09:18, 1 April 2024 (UTC)
Peabody Award
[edit]@David Matoushek: The {{nominated}} template is for awards where Bluey was nominated but did not win, if I recall correctly. I do not remember what template is used when the winner has not yet been announced, but @SatDis: should know. QuicoleJR (talk) 11:39, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. I keep forgetting about the pending template. I won't forget about that next time. David Matoushek (talk) 13:10, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
- It's fine. I just fixed it for you. QuicoleJR (talk) 17:18, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, pending. Thank you for fixing @QuicoleJR: SatDis (talk) 01:18, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
Which section should this episode-list outtake go in?
[edit]("Broadcast" or "Critical reception"? (H/T SatDis (talk · contribs)'s advisory summary.)
[Series 2 episode "Dad Baby"] never aired on Disney's outlets; while Disney has not officially disclosed a reason, the Polygon website speculated that it was withheld due to its depictions of pregnancy and childbirth.[1] It was released on the show's official YouTube account on 2 May 2024.[2]

- @Slgrandson: Thanks for the message. There's a paragraph in the "Critical reception" section which also lists changes to episodes "Teasing", "Flat Pack", and "Exercise". I feel like this information would be perfect there. Thank you! SatDis (talk) 01:22, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
Reason for the top 'for other uses, see bluey (etc)'?
[edit]Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this go against Wikipedia:NAMB since the topic is not ambiguous? RNGHit (talk) 18:45, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- @RNGHit: I agree. I think removing it would be best. SatDis (talk)
- I agree and have removed it. HiLo48 (talk) 03:05, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
Requested move 9 December 2024
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: moved. The only significant opposition I see here is from people contesting the concept of PDABs and generic concerns about PDABs. Considering there are other PDABbed titles on Wikipedia already, including other TV series (see the recent move at Lost (TV series)), I do not find that convincing evidence to prevent a move here, especially when there are more supporters than opposers. As for supporters, they've provided actual evidence in terms of the pageview ratio and the recent move of Lost. If people want to move the article to Bluey (which was discussed here), a new RM can be opened. (closed by non-admin page mover) Skarmory (talk • contribs) 23:27, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
Bluey (2018 TV series) → Bluey (TV series) – Likely WP:PRIMARYPDAB over Bluey (1976 TV series), per a ~77:1 pageview ratio and per long-term pageview statistics. JohnCWiesenthal (talk) 15:04, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- Comment This was already proposed last year, with the result being "no consensus". 162 etc. (talk) 16:45, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
Comment What new information do you have to suggest that something has changed in the last year that would overcome the no-consensus last time this was proposed? TiggerJay (talk) 19:56, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- Note: WikiProject Animation, WikiProject Disney, alian Wikipedians' notice board, WikiProject Television, and WikiProject Australian television have been notified of this discussion. Feeglgeef (talk) 19:39, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. There is almost no reason to have a "primary" for a disambiguation page. This hides incorrect incoming links that when linked to dab pages, bots currently detect and inform editors. This also makes it less clear in the search bar, which TV series you are going to click on. Gonnym (talk) 21:07, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- Support – there is a clear gap in pageviews, so if people are looking for a TV series named Bluey, it's almost certainly this one. The year is therefore superfluous per WP:PRIMARYPDAB (see the similar recent move at Talk:Lost (TV series)#Requested move 28 October 2024). I recognize there may be some recency bias given that this series is ongoing, but I think six years of sustained popularity is sufficient to show this isn't an isolated peak in interest. RunningTiger123 (talk) 03:51, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- Comment - does it qualify for just "Bluey" as primary topic? From what I hear, it's enormously popular around the world, and still going strong after 6 years... Laterthanyouthink (talk) 08:11, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- That was actually what my earlier stricken comment was actually based on, see the prior RM above, and it seems like there was no consensus on if Bluey is the PTOPIC. TiggerJay (talk) 18:55, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- Support and use a hat note for the older show. TiggerJay (talk) 07:16, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- Support with a hatnote for the other show. The vital article on the very popular kids show is certainly the primary topic over an obscure old police show. QuicoleJR (talk) 14:34, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. Partial disambiguation is always a bad idea. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:25, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- And also Oppose primary topic hijacking. Just far too common a term in Australia for this to be primary. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:06, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- Support and use a hatnote for the old show. Minikiwigeek2 (talk) 18:37, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- Move to Bluey (without disambiguation). While a move to Bluey (TV series) is definitely better than the current title (in which case I support the proposed move), the 2018 series is likely the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for "Bluey" as a whole. Loytra (talk) 06:51, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
- I share the sentiment above. Bluey has been made into too big a deal by the Media for its primary topic status to be disputed and the article's title to not simply be "Bluey". In other words, I support in the sole condition that "Bluey" (disambiguation excluded) is not viable. —theMainLogan (t•c) 06:50, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
- A few thoughts on PTOPIC for Bluey, first I think there is a degree of WP:RECENTISM with this, and there is a chance of reduced long term notability. There was a huge bump both here and in general Google Trends when there was wild speculation in April 2024 that the show might be ending. And since April the show has transitioned from full episodes to a 1-3 minute shorts (minisodes) format. Ultimately it's long term significance is likely in the hands of both if they continue to produce the show and to what degree it is available in reruns, streaming, etc. Therefore it is likely too soon to say with certainty that there would be long term support for this show as the PTOPIC for the term Bluey itself. Additionally, per wikinav, there is still significant use of the DAB page, and those going to the DAB to find the TV show page represents that less than 2% of the people find the TV show this way, while it is a more significant way they find things such as the older show, as well as the nickname pages. TiggerJay (talk) 15:18, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose - If we're going to disambiguate we might as well go the whole way, partial disambiguation serves no benefit. RachelTensions (talk) 04:02, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
- Support - This article is overwhelmingly the primary topic, not to mention a vital article and a featured article as well. Æ's old account wasn't working (talk) 03:26, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
