Article on Quad. Cowboy

[edit]

[1] I'd suspect we can consider an article for this game too, soon. --MASEM (t) 02:18, 5 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lead changes

[edit]

The lead is slightly out of line with established norms for game developer pages, and also slightly misrepresents the narrative for the studio itself (While Brendon Chung was making games in the 1990s, Blendo Games was not founded until around 2010). It also seems to need some mention of the other games the studio has made. --DubiousJosh (talk) 22:03, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to Background

[edit]

The background section seems slightly thin considering the available sources, so I think it might be worth giving it some more potatoes and a few more sources (as well as removing/replacing a few dead ones). --DubiousJosh (talk) 22:09, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Culture Section

[edit]

Describing the nature of Chung's operation in the "Background" section seems a little odd, so I am adding a "Culture" section (something I saw in the article for Klei Entertainment) in the hopes this makes everything feel a little more natural. --DubiousJosh (talk) 22:35, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Barista?

[edit]

So this section seems to be a little out of proportion considering its content. I do not want to say it should be entirely removed, but Barista represents such a small part of Blendo's oeuvre I cannot help but feel it needs to be. . . changed somehow?

I appreciate it is representative of Chung's early work and also manifests some of his philosophies, but its presence still seems a little off. I'm going to make some edits expanding on it for now, but the section seems like it still needs to be handled in some way. --DubiousJosh (talk) 00:08, 2 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Blendo GamesBrendon Chung – I cannot find much evidence Blendo Games passes WP:NCORP. However, its sole developer Brendon Chung does appear to pass WP:NARTIST due to his game development efforts and recognition. He got a major profile in Kill Screen and an article focused on him in Vice magazine. I suggest the article be moved and modified somewhat to focus primarily on him. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 11:43, 20 July 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Waqar💬 16:32, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak oppose We don't have a lot about Chung outside his career in games, and that obviously overlaps heavily with the existence of Blendo Games. To this end, I would consider either Blendo or Chung to be the primary topic, and given that we generally favor the development studio over individual contributors, I think we should keep it under Blendo Games. (To contrast: Lucas Pope has had a couple different studios he used for his big games, those don't have anywhere close to the name recognizition as Pope's name does. Same with Jonathan Blow and his Thekla studio, he's the recognized name, not the studio). --Masem (t) 03:49, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
