Italian Regia Aeronautica?

[edit]

Is the Italian Regia Aeronautica also featured in the simulation per history? 68.113.47.82 23:06, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Simulation covers the "official" Battle of Britain period (July- end September 1940). As the handful of Italian raids were later than that (November) they are not covered. They had very limited impact on the Battle, though did lead to the unusual occurrence of seeing Biplanes fight. (Even British Gladiators, as did still exist, were sensibly not deployed). The Italian Cr42 escorts were outclassed by the (mainly) Hurricanes which caught them.

Fair use rationale for Image:BattleofBritainIIWingsofVictory.jpg

[edit]

Image:BattleofBritainIIWingsofVictory.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Some sort of addvert?

[edit]

Emm, pardon me but big parts of this article looks more like'a addvertisement than a encyclopedia article. Would be grand if anyone could be kind and fix this.

Some examples of what im talking on:

the "product details" section. (should it at all be there, i dont see how there is any need for this inn'a article)

another examle is under the "Patches, Updates and Add-ons, under the picture of the Me 109. - "There are no fewer than 135 new Messerschmitt 109 skins to BoBII (and this is on top of the 25 to date). It also includes 261 other badge and markings textures. It is quite simply the most detailed and accurate representation of the 109 in the Battle of Britain ever created and models below Staffel level, down to key individual aircraft schemes. ID markings are also accurate to individual aircraft level."

Well, to be honest i can really say that there is planty of other stuff that should (according to me) be fixed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.48.112.218 (talk) 08:07, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pruned article

[edit]

I've removed the listing of features in the main paragraph of the article, as it read much like an advertisement and I've summarized the gameplay as best as I could. I've also removed the announcement of a sequel, as the source was a link to a forum post from 20006 (https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=6397) regarding "a press release to SimHQ", however the links to it are dead. I've removed the news release tag as it no longer reads like a press release.

Unfortunately there isn't much of an article left. Nerfdart (talk) 15:13, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Found the news article.
