[edit]Biased POV on this whole article with speculation and accusation, obviously written by the Vietnamese. "This is probably true since China has a long history of grabbing territory and then using revisionist history to justify it. [4]" Who is in charge here? Such a low standard and unprofessional in writing, and why merge the Chinese fall under Vietnamese name? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.15.67.179 (talk) 23:47, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
Merge
[edit]Detian Falls and Ban Gioc Waterfall are two names of exactly the same "array of falls". Tmct (talk) 14:17, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- No one opposed, so I merged them. Tmct (talk) 09:56, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
板約 would be transcribed into Vietnamese as Bản Ước, approximating the real Vietnamese name of Bản Giốc.Duyet-pho (talk) 04:33, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

Room for improvement
[edit]Hello everyone,
I've added some cleanup tags to various parts of this article. I think there's a lot of room for improvement, hopefully we can collaborate in this pursuit. Ban Gioc / Detian is an important piece of the natural history of both China and Vietnam. Right now it seems the article presents a fragmented and sometimes contradictory history of border disputes around the falls, but doesn't offer readers much else. Compare to the excellent article on Niagara Falls, which goes into great depth about the natural and human history of the falls, shows numerous historical and modern photographs, and discusses U.S.-Canadian relations with regard to the falls in a thorough and neutral manner.
If anyone is aware of high quality sources that discuss any aspect of the falls, please reply here (or even better, use them to improve the article). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jake-low (talk • contribs) 11:09, 2 April 2017 (UTC)
