Why sfns?
[edit]Why does the article use inline shortened footnotes instead of a normal inline citation? If you don't like the clutter, you can use Template:Reflist to make a organized list in the citation and use <ref name=>. An example is Space Launch System. Thecowboygilbert - (talk) ♥
- I agree; also a huge pain when editing in wikitext because of how many citations are manually put at the references section. I might try to fix it in a sandbox before doing anything here.--(Discuss 0nshore's contributions!!!) 13:49, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
- Apologies for the trouble. This is my first time doing in-line citations. I was trying to do them like User:AJona1992, he helped me on one of my previous articles and I was using it as an example. It was the easiest method for me, as it required less typing. It was just easier to put the last name of authors along with year of publication. It also helped when several different sentences used the same source. The problem was I couldn’t link the inline citations to the work cited like Jona did. Thank you all for fixing the citations. - I think I fixed the citations now. There is still a list of references at the bottom that are not cited inline but I kept to be added on by others (including me as I am not done here). (Discuss 0nshore's contributions!!!) 23:41, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
- If you need any assistance using the method/style that I use, let me know, we can do some practice tests to get you acquainted. Best – jona ✉ 17:33, 24 March 2024 (UTC)

Huh, this is an article now. Maybe we should have one on Kane Pixels! There are some glaring issues with this one which need to be fixed before we can proceed:
- For reader and editor convenience, the YouTube video should have spotchecks. It's easier to find moments in the video by opening the transcript (at the bottom of the description) and Ctrl+F'ing relevant terms.
- I recommend you have another cursory search of Google News. There's a lot of content which isn't included on this article, including an article on Parsons from Dazed and an overview from Collider. Is there any information on the break which has lasted over a year?
- Please use less quotes (paraphrase more) and try to keep use of primary sources to a minimum. You can also condense the plot summaries more. Some of these episodes are less than a minute long, after all.
On second thought, I'm going to have to fail this article. Probably half the available sources (including an academic article analyzing the series) aren't used. It's messily organized, and reading the body doesn't make sense chronologically (so it goes from posting the first video straight to reception without discussing any of the subsequent episodes?). Some of the sources that are included are misrepresented: a quote from Parsons is given as a quote from the ABC News journalist, for example. Most of the article is plot summary and is still short. The title should be changed: there's no indication that the series is called Backrooms and the playlist is called "The Backrooms".
This article could probably be a GA in the future, but it needs a huge amount of work.
Wrong dates and missing episodes
[edit]The table in the article doesn't reflect the official playlist [1].
The dates are wrong and there are more episodes in the playlist. Laura240406 (talk) 01:28, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- I've added all missing episodes and reordered them so that it matches the official playlist. Feel free to expand the descriptions as I've only added surface level ones. Laura240406 (talk) 01:47, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
