Triaugmented_triangular_prism dual

[edit]

I don't really follow what these are, but since it was linked to a johnson solid as a dual, I made an image of the Johnson solid dual, which apparently has the same topology at least. I didn't follow if an associahedron has a fixed geometry or only a fixed topology. See: Triaugmented_triangular_prism#Dual_polyhedron Tom Ruen (talk) 21:51, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Only fixed topology as far as I've seen. By the way, we might also mention the associahedron as being a near-miss Johnson solid (Near-miss Johnson solid): it looks like it might be possible to make from squares and regular pentagons, but it can't. (In my office I have one made from plastic clique-together squares and pentagons, but they have to be warped a little bit to get them to click together.) —David Eppstein (talk) 22:21, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
