[edit]This is a bunch of stonewalling from opponents. What happened to an objective outlook? I work for the Merchant Law Group and this makes him seem evil which he isn't. I have interacted Matthew Merchant, Josh Merchant and Tony Merchant on a number of times and they are respectful people. 216.197.173.195 01:14, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Whether intentionally or not, reference templates have been tampered with over a period of two years and valid references removed. I have added the missing reference details.Oceanflynn (talk) 22:43, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

Unsourced content
[edit]I removed this statement: "Merchant was awarded on two occasions Eagle Feathers by First Nations in recognition of work on behalf of First Nations and residential school victims." The RS cited does not mention any awards.[1]

Suspended by the Sask Bar
[edit]Regina lawyer Tony Merchant is being suspended from practising law after a disciplinary panel found he used a “tone of disrespect and intimidation” to withhold settlement money from a residential school survivor to cover legal bills owed by her son. https://globalnews.ca/news/7374633/regina-lawyer-tony-merchant-suspended-residential-school-survivor/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.48.226.174 (talk) 22:37, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
Deletions from Disciplinary suspension section
[edit]On 31 October 2020, a pair of changes from IP address 70.83.84.154 deleted two paragraphs that explain the actions that the disciplinary suspension was founded on and context, and replaced with a note that an appeal had been launched. I think the deleted paragraphs should be maintained alongside the appeal info, and didn't see any explanation for the deletion in the edit history.
Can anyone who would like the deletions maintained please provide comments?
To be clear, the rewording made by these edits in the first and last paragraphs, as well as the appeal information both improved the article, and I think should be maintained.

Reverting the changes discussed above
[edit]Given the absence of a response to my comment above, I've now reverted the two deleted paragraphs.

Reverting deletions a second time
[edit]On 9 December 2020, an anonymous user from a different IP, 135.19.194.241, deleted the same or similar passages as in November. This time in the edit summary they said the paragraphs were unsourced and/or misrepresented the facts. I added sourcing to one paragraph that was missing it, and otherwise reverted the changes, on 12 December 2012, inviting the person to raise the concerns about misrepresentation here for discussion, because they didn't specify how they felt the passages were misleading.

Born in Yorkton?
[edit]Previous text says he is born in Yorkton. I changed it to Saskatoon because of a globe and mail article[1]. Anyone knows if Globe and Mail got it right? Pinkslimo (talk) 09:43, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
